I agree with nearly everything you wrote besides that. Traveling is the biggest meme for people that don't have a purpose. They just go to other places and take sights/food in. I'm not saying never take a vacation or go anywhere, and admittedly there are a handful of people who turn it into something productive, but for people that actually have something they want to work on, traveling doesn't help and is at best a temporary refresher
