We finally have mathematical proof that LINK tokens are going to be pegged to a $1 soft cap like it was assumed by many who actually bothered to read the whitepaper. Glad I sold my stinky linkies couple of days back at $1.30. Enjoy your $1 bags.

gonna need to be more than that if nodes are going to maintain enough collateral for all the derivatives and finance transactions they'll be doing.

Not going to. Mathematically impossible.

Does anyone understand math in the crypto space? The linkies have to get sigma notation explained to them, and you have no idea what any of that in you picture means. Are all you traders just fucking retarded?

LISTEN MOTHERFUCKER, DON'T JOKE AROUND. I NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS GOING TO MAKE ME A MILLIONAIRE RIGHT NOW. I HAVE 30,000 LINK. I PUT MY LIFE SAVINGS INTO THIS. I WORKED AN UNIMAGINABLE NUMBER OF HOURS SLAVING MY LIFE AWAY TO EARN THE MONEY THAT I PUT IN THIS TOKEN. NOW, AFTER CONSIDERING THIS.. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF THIS IS GOING TO BE WORTH 1 DOLLAR (I BOUGHT AT 1.33) OR 1000 DOLLARS IN TEN YEARS. THIS IS NOT A FUCKING JOKE MAN, THIS IS MY LIFE. YOU SOUND SMART. YOU SOUND MATHEMATICAL. YOU SOUND LIKE YOU KNOW. SO, WHICH IS IT?

That picture you have is from the cryptography section of the blog post. It has nothing to do with price pegging at all. What are you on? I fucking hate linkies, but is this your idea of a fud?

The soft cap means that the token can experience small price spikes in the range of 10 cents or so but will always correct back down (or up to) $1.

that's why all the leakers and larps that post on here say the team are worried that there won't be enough tokens.

>pro tip: sergey is going to print more USDLINK stable coins and dump them on you all.

when you realise that sergey printed 350 MILLION tokens for himself in about 5 minutes with 3 or 4 mouse clicks, you'll find the answer you are looking for.
you wasted countless hours of your life to buy and hold 0.008% of what he holds. let that sink in

as chainlink tokens get staked as a collateral, the node should have staked exactly the ammount the contract itself is worth. so when your node delivers wrong data your colleteral will be lost to the contract owner to compensate for this failed execution. so it's exactly like a Insurance. As the network grows there also have to be proportional more link locked in nodes which dries up supply.
So it all comes down to how much traffic the link network can generate.
