Is there literally any point holding high caps in 2019?

Even if we went to ATH on BTC you would basically 2x.

Lame.

Congrats u figured out why alt season happens.

Also u hold high caps since they have to go through precious ATH on their way to the next. 20k sounds like a lot now but it could be the low point of a bear market in the future. If u told someone from 2013 that btc was going to be 3k it would sound ludicrous but it sounds low to us now

mild brainlets think its a safe bet because "index of crypto" due to crypto pairs. they are partially right.
turbobrainlets with big egoes who can't discern vapourware and scams from good projects cope by claiming anything except btc is a scam shitcoin and vapourware and smart contracts are a scam.

I agree, holding BTC is a low ambition move.
People who can't discern differences between scams and not-scams should at least hold ETH instead of BTC as a safe "index of projects", because then they're betting on the plethora of blockchain fintech being built on top of it, which is most of blockchain fintech projects.

Not holding btc is for poor people. You need much more than 2x to make any significant amount of money. If I 2x I will make much more than you even if you 10x

High caps are pretty much guaranteed to reach their previous ATH. That's 4x on ETH, 5x on XMR, 3x on LTC, 20x on something like NEO.

I do. You go to bitmex, send them your Bitcoin, enter some meme contracts and then bitmex liquidates you and keeps your Bitcoin.

brainlet cope

Could use the same logic saying if one is TRULY rich, one should hold index funds long term instead of bitcoin.

Yes hi caps absorb dumps much better, and around top 10 are pretty much here to stay now and will suprass previous ath.
Most of shitcoins wont pump more than last ath if old and still not top and will be swaped for btc/eth in fast simphony of wojacks when shit hits fan

Next question?
