One of two options. BTC demand is fake or ETH just doesn't have it anymore and is on the decline. Only one of these is correct.

That's all it was good for. Totally crippled by a kittie trading app. Watch Fantom run crypto kitties like it's a fucking joke while also running whatever dApps eth has going without every stuttering.

First mover advantage matter for a POW coin like Bitcoin when the accumulated network hash gives it value as the most secure blockchain and store digital value.

When it comes to the platform running the world economy, smart contracts and dApps the tech must be able first of all, support the demand. Has anyone not realized that maybe the reason we havent had dapp or blockchain mass adoption is that ethereum just can't support it? These thousands of ETH ICOs unable to effectively roll out their solutions waiting for ETH to scale.

Guess which platform will be able to welcome them all with minimal to no effort?

Exactly this. Also most of the good projects are leaving ETH for better platforms because ETH can't and will never be able to scale. It was a good experiment that taught the other good quality platform how to really do it. Only way is down for ETH.

You dont understand the whole market. There are a lot of normies and business suits blindly just buying BTC because of the name (secure, most stable, long hidtory, well known...)
The demand isnt fake, it's just plain dumb money.

Blocks are right now grinding against being 100% of the time full. Any more outside interest coming in to crypto and making BTC transactions and we'll have reached the fabled fee market with ever increasing tx fees.

There's a dozen of good projects that already switched to BNB chain and a lot more is to come. The only reason ETH was big was because of the ICO's and now quality ICO's are pretty much all gonna be done on BNB.

BNB and TRX both left ETH and are in the Top 10 and actually have some usage on their platform unlike ETH which have a unusable platform due to high tx fee and time.

But ETH is as much of a store of value as BTC, minus the security difference due to lower hashrate. Vitalik is an illiterate marxist when it comes to economics. You can't build a store of value on top of Ethereum - it doesn't even make sense. The value is backed by the security.

Satoshi premined bitcoin and he's a damn legend

Coins that are not premined at all are a relatively new concept (eg Grin)

I remember a year or two ago everybody liked Monero over Zcash, even till today, because Zcash came after monero and was heavily premined whereas xmr wasn't as much if at all

At this point, the inflation and future inflation are the main supply constraints for ethereum

Right now, inflation is around 3%, which is pretty good, not too far from USD inflation and all around pretty good for a pow chain

In the future, the energy requirements to earn eth through staking will be far less than pow, so lower fees could be expected without the grunt work to manually find a nonce. WIth lower fees, the need to generate new eth to pay the stakers would be less than the need to generate new eth to pay miners

With the amount of eth entering circulation decreasing, eth will grow closer to a fixed supply asset like bitcoin, which is still increasing in supply towards its maximum supply

Lower fees and overall lower cost of security could bring challenges, but it could also be a more attractive system once fully implemented
