13833170 No.13833170 [Reply] [Original]

Can someone explain to me why RSR will appreciate significantly?
I'm a brainlet and also just started reading about the protocol.

It seems like it should only appreciate if the underlying collateral appreciates.
(And conversely be diluted if the collateral depreciates).
But if this is the case, why not just hold the underlying collateral? Why hold rsr at all?

I see there are transaction fees that can benefit rsr holders. Is this the edge that holding this coin has over simply buying the collection of assets that make up the collateral pool?

Also, this fee itself seems like it might not be a great idea. Wouldn’t it slow adoption?
Why would someone choose to hold a stable coin that has 0% interest (unlike, say, a DSR Dai contract) and in fact has a fee to use?

Nevertheless, I do think stablecoins have the potential to affect international currency markets at some point down the line, so I find it interesting to talk about this stuff.

not many people are holding RSR to convert it to RSV (end of Q3 release, more like end of year imo). most of them just want a quick buck, which RSR isn't about. it's not gonna moon or pump hard, it'll gradually build in value until the day of the RSV release.

I bought at 32 though and will hodl for life.

I can't speak to the underlying fundamentals, but it's going to have a bitching marketing campaign and it's currently at it's ground floor for pricing. No one is going to dump lower than the IEO.
Next weak Huobi is having a trading compeition, so volume and exposure will go up.
It's an asymmetric bet.

i currently have 8 btc in rasr and i'm confident that those will turn into 20 btc within the next 2 weeks. then there's 98% of /biz that wonders how people make money in this market and call you larp if you say you have 400k$ in crypto. shitcoin pumps like those are the easiest money i've ever made. try to use your brain for a second here: all of /biz is hating on this coin right now and crying about having sold at a loss. guess what happens next? to me this seems too easy to be true yet most of /biz is literally too retarded to figure this shit out by themselves. thank you everyone

>> No.13833933

Okay, so from this thread, I've gathered people will buy RSR because of FOMO.

If the system is undercollateralized, then RSR is printed and sold to compensate.
But FOMO aside, if there's no inherent incentive to buy RSR (assuming the transaction fee is set to its default of 0), how will RSR dilution not cause a feedback loop panic selloff, leaving RSV undercollateralized and endangering the peg?

I know you soys get upset with ref links
and that you think leveraged trading is SPOOKY and only for degenerate gamblers
good luck chasing PnDs on asian hustling exchanges where they dump their bags on you
I only bought into RSR because it is a legit project, hence I set aside 10% of my stack in this asset
I hold 75% of all my crypto in some combination of btc/eth and would highly recommend others do the same
primeXBT is good because you can take positions on commodities and indices to weather the storm in the case of crypto bear seasons
also can make money when it's crashing by taking short positions

unless you've got the millions of dollars to splash on virtual currency that they do you'll never really know or be invited to their groups. it's inclusive and corrupt as fuck, and most higher up whales and manipulators would be tight with CZ as well (him and his exchange being the biggest manipulators of all).
you can pay to join the premium telegram dump groups and they honestly aren't that bad if you find a good one, most will even tell you when to sell (sell below this number or you'll get stuck at the top).

any Binance IEO will likely pump 10-15x at least, but generally only once and within just a few weeks of release. If you wait too long or think there's a second pump on the way chances are you'll get JUSTed.

always always always put in not only stop losses but also have take profit setpoints

there's 6.1 billion unlocked tokens right now, but almost 3 billion of them are held by the team, and they surely don't sell them a few days after they got a shitton of money from the IEO. so there's about 3.3 billion in circulation right now, assuming the team hasn't sold their tokens yet.

They wont, teams that don`t exit scam hold their tokens as collateral for the investment partnerships if they ( the team) don`t deliver the product.
