Same. But I'm mostly on Binance and Kraken, so I haven't been able to catch all of the shitcoin pumps lately. Annoying.

Only mmo I ever enjoyed was Maplestory pre-BB and right after BB desu.

Despite nexon and their awful gookike ways, it was such a nice game.

Botting on maplestory was one of my favorite games. The same feeling as seeing your gains after a successful pump.

Botting was way more fun than playing though. That game used to be a huge masochistic grindfest.

>>13814821
Yes. I actually enjoyed the grind. Found it kind of a zen-like experience.

But what I enjoyed the most was the free market. Only God know how many hundreds of 10 year olds I ripped off.

I'm on those exchanges and kucoin, but I'm too risk averse to try to catch pumps nowadays. And since I'm still up from 2017, any trading triggers a taxable event so that's even more taxes I'll have to pay next year, even if it is a winning trade it could mean having less next year.. and it's even worse if it is a losing trade.

>>13814745
I tried to get into maplestory but grinding was too harsh. My fondest mmo memories were star wars galaxies pre-cu, I even followed the swg emu development since day 1, for all 5+ years of their rocky development.

American? How do taxes on gains from trading work in your country?

>> No.13815125

>>13814963
leaf but I think america has similar rules.
basically i don't pay taxes on my gains until i sell or trade the crypto, and crypto-to-crypto is a taxable event
so lets say i bought a bunch of eth for $100 in 2017, if I traded that ether (or bought into an ico) when the ether is worth $1300, then I'd have a capital gain of $1200, so I'd owe a few hundred dollars in taxes after making that trade.
not sure about this but i think it also uses first-in first-out accounting (i think americans can choose whether to use fifo or lifo), so if later on if eth drops down to $200 and I make a trade, i can't say i had a capital loss of $1100 if i still had eth i bought for $100. it would still be a taxable capital gain of $100.
hope that makes sense.

The real bs is what happens when you trade crypto-crypto and market goes up / down as a whole.

Example:
Buy 1 btc
btc&eth go up 10%
Buy eth with btc - 10% taxation
btc&eth go up 10%
buy back 1btc with eth - 10% taxation

Overall you just lost 21% to taxes without gaining anything in return. Holding would have been better.

ye :(
20k gets deducted from my full time job automatically, and i paid a combined extra 50k from all my crypto gains and side businesses over the past 2 years
so that's a total of 90k paid in taxes over 2 years
my net worth is only 125k

i hate this shit, i don't get anything for that 90k spent. my rent goes to pay property taxes that pay for roads/police/firefighters. i haven't seen a family doctor in over a decade for muh free healthcare, waiting lists are years long. my employer and i pay for my own dental and eyecare.
i get price gouged to shit on cellphone and internet prices and food, cucksheds start at 350k
sales tax is fucking 13% and alcohol is 3x or 4x as expensive as it should be
the only thing i might use in the near future is unemployment, but even that is money i could have set aside for myself and i wouldn't have a several week wait time and multiple hoops to jump through just to prove i'm looking for work
this whole system is a fucking scam

meant the 10% increase get's taxed. Didn't mean 10% tax... either way 21% increase get taxed this way that otherwise wouldn't be taxed at all.
