>entry level position
>2 years of experience required
Why do people do this?

>> No.13774943

Because 1. The average work is more difficult and
2. The average worker is less able than he was because of immigrants
If they open it to anyone then they would get hundreds of people who barely speak English and want jobbu prese
If you've had work then they know you aren't a complete animal and can actually be productive

>> No.13774970

>>13774874
to weed out the brainlets. two years of experience is someone whose just starting out in their career....it's entry level.
so how to get two years experience you ask? you can do that somewhere else, or you can sell yourself in such a way that it won't matter to them that you have no work experience. but that's a non-brainlet move... it's a hard line that a guy like you comes up against.

>2. The average worker is less able than he was because of immigrants
the average worker is less able than he was....but idk that it's because of immigrants desu. In burgerland anyway, the school system has been completely cucked, it's more of a babysitting service now. I don't usually complain about this shit, but I've had a few encounters with young cashiers recently that have made me realize just how dumb young people are now, having used technology as a thinking crutch their entire lives.
>total is $19.03 and I hand her a $20 bill.
>she presses some buttons on the cash register.
>I reach into my pocket..."I've got the change here as well."
>this bitch freezes and tells me, "sorry, I've already pressed the button on the machine."
like wtf, these dumb shits can't even do the most basic math anymore?! and they want $15 an hour....

>> No.13775097

those 2 years could be an internship or part time / gig work.

or even working on school projects....if you know how to sell your experience properly.
the resume is just a marketing device. use it to market yourself in a way that will make someone actually want to hire your ffs.

That's more of a policy than a young person thing, Boomer

regardless thats a terrible example for the point youre trying to make

What? no....it's not a policy thing. it's a math thing. she didn't know how to think on her feet. the total in the register matching the receipts is not a new concept. we've all worked those jobs at some point in our lives. the total is the same, whether I give her exact change or she has to break one of my dollars.

Silence, Boomer.

I worked at a megacorp retail establishment (fill name here) within the last 4 years, it may well have been policy related.

I hope your shitcoins dump harder than Binance IEOs did today

maybe when you were in highschool grandpa

i work in development of a POS system, red flags are raised if the ammount of notes counted at teh end of a day dont match the supposed numbers entered in

its not a big deal, but it saves time verifying everything later

stop pretending to be intelligent

kek. hey man, I don't need shitcoins to make it....I've already made it. I'm not the one working the register at megacorp retail establishment.
respect your elder boomers faggot cause we've already made our way. we talking resumes in this thread? so far nobody has said anything useful about it...

This is retarded. I worked as a cashier for years and always did this, you senile boomers fuck up your math more than we do
>grandpa buys a newspaper
>that’ll be 85 cents
>hands me a dollar
>ring it in
>”oh wait! here I have 15 cents, I’ll just take a dollar back”
This is probably what you did. Cashiers are working with these numbers 40 hours a week

>> No.13775490

>>13775313
do you realize how fucking stupid you sound to people with brains when you talk like this? how the fuck is any POS system going to know the difference at the end of the day? there is a total in the register... you can't work backwards from that total at the end of the day and have any clue about where each nickel and dime came from. if the total matches, it matches. if it doesn't, it doesn't.
the machine doesn't know how many nickels and dimes are there at any given time....because how you choose to break a dollar changes that. did you give them two dimes and a nickel, or a quarter? fucking kek.
looks like I've triggered the zoomers......chirst you guys are dumb as shit.

I don't work retail any longer, just letting your ass know that Occam's Razor gets thrown out the window by retail managers and corporate policies

Currently 24 in a /comfy/ IT role with a clear path to retirement + a healthy stack of major coins

>Unironically imagine thinking you're better than anyone else because your ass was late to add the change in the transaction

Their flip phone keyboard autocorrects when they try to type two spaces after every period.

Surprised no Boomer phone has implemented a drawn cursive to manuscript text touch panel yet.

>>13775490
Again, there are literally tills that track the number of bills that people enter. The dollar value being the same isn't the issue, the issue is that retail micromanagement is really overzealous because it gives them a feeling of power and meaning

Your enemy is the same as the person behind the counter's.

If it isn't, why are you here?

Even in POS systems where the exact billage isn't important, managers may still implement policy like this because it holds the line up, and they think the employee might try to steal or might fuck it up

Hold on, I'll translate

>Even in POS systems where the exact billage isn't important........... The managers are power hungry cucks.... .... . They don't trust their employee as far as they can throw them.......,,,,..,. Even though they let shoplifters walk out and treat it as expected shrinkage in the budget

Apply to a job you don't meet the on paper pre-reqs for.

Do so frequently, learning at each step.

Learn LaTeX, use OpenCV from GitHub as a template to skip the hard parts (layout and design), works wonders. If you know basic HTML, XML, JSON, CSS, the structure and logic is similar.

Track your resume in git. Boom, you just learned two skills that made you more employable. Check out codecademy's git course. It's free and useful even if you aren't a programmer.

Make a failure resume if you start projects and don't finish. Be ballsy, if you have no college experience or little job experience, focus on an objective at the top of your resume, or consider a failures section. Stand out, the recruiters only see your resume for under 12 seconds before it ends up in one of two piles.

Or just buy your favorite shittoken and hodl for dear life. A job let's you buy more shittokens though, anon.
