The Question Is: Will Chainlink be pegged to the notional value of the derivatives market (estimated to range from 500 trillion to 1.2 quadrillion) or will it be pegged to the value of the underlying asset/securities (estimated global gross market value = to around 13 trillion dollars)?

Because, even if Link was pegged to a mere 1% of the gross underlying asset value of the global derivatives market, and, even if the 1 billion supply were in circulation (much of it will be staked in Oracle nodes generating passive monthly income) then that would put the price of 1 link token at $130 USD.

And that’s just 1% of the market value of securities underpinning the derivatives market; LINK will also be used in insurance products and supply-chain trade finance products. I’m not sure what the market cap of those industries are. But it’s a at least a couple trillion in total.

That said, if Chainlink truly is the industry standard, then it will be facilitating much more than 1% of the aforementioned forms of commerce.

I wasted all of my money on memes and im proud fuck this gay earth. people starve to death and could be saved with a mere fraction of what i've spent on these currently useless tokens that may or may not go to $0 in my sleep this very night but you know what? It was worth it for the one ray of light that is hope that I could too one day escape the rat race of modern society by ironically being the first investor into the future

fuck this, fuck all of you, and im not fucking selling

you know I am a business insider in one of the most biggest food manufacturing companies in the united states. We are currently using block chain technology for basically problem number 3. So how is chain link better then the system these companies are making for themselves. Is chain link basically just a package tracker or what?

>> No.13771595

>>13771561
In order for maximum efficiency and real world application, smart contracts need to be connected to external data. In order to do this is the most secure fashion, Chainlink is the best option.

In your example, chainlink can be used to verify the location of a package, but it could also be used to trigger a smart contract that would automatically compensate you if your package arrived later than promised.

Brainlet here. I don't trust myself enough to be able to put up a node or keeping it online 24/7 (although this is more due the shitty connection I'm having at the moment).

How can I stake my LINKs? Linkpool? Do I need Linkpool shares for that, or can I stake them without them?

Chainlink ultimately reduces the cost of Trust.:
Its a smart contract protocol enabling Decentralized Oracles that allow people to build Smart Contracts with the ability to communicate with external onchain and offchain sources of data, a use case whose implementation can facilitate and power financial products like derivatives, insurance products and supply-chain trade finance products.

It’s value, again, is ints it’s ability to reduce the cost of Trust.

Your weak hands are showing. You will buy high, sell low, try to recover via swing trading, and then rope yourself and swing –this time– from a tree.

And that isn't even taking into account normie fomo and the next overall crypto bubble in 2020/2021. XRP hit 140 billion usd mcap at its ATH, link at this mcap would be $400. And xrp had no real life uses at this time.
Link will be top 5, total crypto mcap will be in the trillions. 1k by 2022 is fud
