You're literally an NPC then. There are endless ways as a human to spend your years, far more things to do or see or learn than you will ever have time to do in your lifespan. If you're bored because you don't need a job, the fault is your own lack of creativity and drive.

A job is a filler replacement for a sense of purpose, without one, you need to make your own. Think about the things you care about in life, like earnestly care about. Whether it's something selfless like homeless kids or animal rights, or wanting to get fucking good at a particular hobby for the pure satisfaction, figure out what you enjoy and put yourself into it.

If your answer is that you enjoy nothing and find life meaningless, perhaps look into Buddhism for peace.

Now the only thing is if you're a neet without money, then yeah life is kind of fucked because one of the perks of making it is actually having the funds to do anything you want. Poor wageslave < neet with no money < wageslave with money < neet with money

It's mentally and physically degrading if you allow yourself to degrade physically and mentally. Most people find a purpose in working a job because they have no purpose outside of it. If you were truly committed to honing a craft and improving your mind by learning new things then it wouldn't be a hellish life to not have a job. If however you lack the self motivation to get up and do things and you spend the day brainlessly watching TV then of course you will be unhappy.

This. I’m not a NEET because I unironically like my work, but I’m literally never bored when I’m alone. After college I was living the NEET life for a year and it was great.
