Disclamer:
>I do hold btc
>I do understand how immutable and decentralised are important properties
>I dont give fuck about bsv/bch
>Im not shilling some pajet alts
>just want to talk desu

>there is no greater store of value that will ever be created

Why?
Isnt it ment to be p2p money?
Which fed cant controll so we stick it to the man?
Its in fucking whitepaper

But if promising projext x starts as one thing, create army of early og-s and top buying bagholders, fails miserably one thing it's supposed to do as btc did as digital cash, than that same army of og's and bagholders create narrative how its "store of value" now and defend it as religious zealots to keep it going up pricewise:

how the fuck is it asset class and not failed project turned into multy level marketing?

Now we ahve custodian solutions for people that dont need immutable and decentralised asset (they want it because it's going up but they want someone else to keep it for them), and dont get me started about everything that is bad and makes no sense in LN.
But eaven if it works, lets say LN works out its deflatarotory asset noone wants to spend.

Yes I know btc will go up its best told narrative in markets ever, its retail honeypot at this point it literally won when everyone on earth saw it at 20k just that one time.

I guess my question is:

Is real redpill one that we DO live in clown world???

It's meant to be both a store of value and an extremely convenient way to send money. Those who say it's inconvenient because of the speed have never tried to ship large amounts of money overseas.

Maybe 10 years ago ANY shitcoin is extremely more convenient way to send money today adn "transfers value" just fine (+faster+cheeper etc.)

Bitcoin was the product of the cypherpunks who warned us about the increasingly dystopian technology and the oppressive titans of Silicon Valley that we see today as far back as 1993

That is the heart and soul of cryptocurrency. The credit given to this group of people is so very understated.

They beat central banks to the digital currency game and drastically altered their futures from being one of total world domination into a spot of backwards uselessness. Any alternative they could possibly come up with to prop up their inflationary garbage fiat currencies would not only be inferior, but reinforce the inherent strength, value, and superiority of Bitcoin. Other than that, all they can do is ban it - again making them look backwards and foolish.

The vast majority of cryptocurrencies are cash grabs from people who want the best of both worlds but ultimately want to gain more fiat so they can consume things. There are thousands. I can think of maybe two coins other than BTC that are novel and stay true to the way of the cypherpunks. Since this is a discussion about BTC, I'll keep them out of it.

I do wish that some of the original BTC crowd stuck around a bit longer to help guide the space at large. Nick Szabo is still around, but for every man like that he is wildly outnumbered by countless consumer junkies, sociopaths, and wolf of wall street wannabes.

Lastly - fuck banks, fuck KYC, and fuck centralized exchanges.
