Cause a lot of people have the "I want it now" mentality. Sure that nice profit from the selling is great. But they fail to see the difference between the say 40k now v.s the 80k or more down the road. Then when it's a Divvy stock you'd gain a shit pile of income and not sell a single share to get it.

A lot of people made a nice pile from AMRN. Congrats to them. Hell I did and I'm back into it now. Cause I know it's still got a nice run ahead of it. $17 something per now, $50 still to come plus the buyout would mean it would do $100 a share. I'm not pulling those numbers outta my ass either. As for commodities, you can always trade the ETFS. Keep in mind that not all of them are very liquid, you should check the volumes.

I know there's NIB, CORN, and JO. Most metals have an ETF too, PALL, GLD, etc. Don't know about much else. Just search for "commodity ETN", you'll find a few.

Congrats; your pulling down $802,000.00 in income a year. This would only cost you $3064.00 up front.

The older you get the higher the up front cost would be to achieve the same income amount due to the more shares required to make up the difference. I got a nice spreadsheet that gives me all the gory details so I ain't pulling those figures outta my ass either.

Another thing. Don't put any money into the stock market unless your prepared to lose every penny. If you put 10k into it be prepared for the day it's gone. Yes diversification helps but shit does happen. Treat that money as "spent". This also helps you cope when the market is all in a shit like now with the trade dispute.

The best plan is to try to break even. Your 10k makes you 10k then anything after that is extra gravy for whatever. It can all shit after that cause you've made back all you put into it.

Me, I've got a pretty good strategy going. Least I'll break even. Once I make back what I put in, then the rest can all go to hell for all I care.

My whole portfolio amount is 8k. I stand to make with AMRN 10k (stock price @ 50 per + a buyout offer is double that). So I'd make 10k in profit, enough to cover my investment amount plus make a little extra to boot.

At that point the other positions I'm in can all shit for all I care, I've made back my money anyway. But any extra profit after the fact is a nice bonus, say after 30 yrs to the tune of 30k in Divvy income.

Then if PINS takes off and get's bought by a FAANG even more profit.
Or the day LGF gets bought well cause frankly it's the only option they got if they want to stay in the film bis now with the streaming wars upon us.

But if none of it comes to pass and I lose it all (8k) I'll be ok. I won't be in the poor house. Will it hurt? Hell yes. But I won't be bankrupt.

But then you get women like HP's ceo Fiorina, or Avon's ceo Jung, and Yahoo's ceo (don't remember the name) who just absolutely shatted on company fundamentals. And yea, men have assblasted companies too, but not really to the same magnitude nor timeframes as women. I mean, when was the last time you used yahoo search? lmfao.

I'd definitely be interested in a study on this whole ordeal though. I know $SHE is underperforming spy on the 1Y chart by more than 5%, but I don't know if comparing etfs would really be a sound practice (especially since $SHE isn't necessarily female CEOs and includes some pretty major spy components who are dominantly run by men).

If i had to guess it would be that Polartec is going to be the manufacturer for the products that Kraig is going to sell to the army.

Since the company isn't a clothing manufacturer they need someone to turn their silk into products.

The CEO spoke about either partnering or buying a subsidiary. I guess this is the partnership.

Any goop silk maker to my knowledge has had serious problems turning their goop into actual textile so they switch gears and go into making things like cosmetics.

Kraig is the only company positioned to make a serious play into the technical and consumer market for spider silk. We're pretty lucky it's a public company. Seems to me like getting in on the ground floor of something that could be posting a triple digit share price one day after all the growing pains.

depends on the stock
DEPENDS ON THE STOCK

you should decide what the goal of a position is when you enter the position (when you buy the stock)
At that time you should define, at least roughly, what your upside/downside conditions should be for exiting that position (selling). These can change later, but if they change too drastically it's a sign that your initial guess was way off, or you're letting emotions take too much control.

you need some kind of system, something quantitative keeping you organized to make sure you're not just buying and selling on whims.
If you don't have a plan, if you don't have a system, then you will find yourself having to make split-second decisions at the worst, most emotional times: when the market is up or down suddenly. don't be like that. Take the times when the markets are closed or steady to think through things, so when the sky is falling you can react

Now they are burning cash starting up Uber freight which is like on demand 18 wheelers to ship merchandise, but what business wants to rely on unscheduled shipments? I'm very skeptical of Uber.

Thanks Trump and China and the Trade dispute for giving me such nice Cheapies to buy and hold.

Now thanks to you guys I'll be set for life. I hope this shit keeps on next week, or least some nice tanks take place; got more to buy you see.

AMRN,T,GE,LGF,PINS,SWPPX - all will be making me Profit you see. Got some of them at the low end of the 52 week range. With lots of upside still to come my way. Even during the market shits and whatnot, SWPPX, will help keep things in line so to keep my losses at the low side.

Then when AMRN rises to $50 per and a buyout gets floated at them I'll make back my whole portfolio amount and then some. It's all extra gravy after that. So once that all happens, and it will, everything else can just go to hell for all I care. I'll have made back my money after all so why should I give a fuck what happens after that.

But it won't; PINS will rise from where it is at now; who knows maybe a FANNG will swallow them whole down the road? (I hope). T will still be paying out his Fat Divvy ($2.04 per) when I'm old. GE will rise from the shit; at $30 per I'll clear $720 from him. LGF will be bought, if they want to stay alive its the only option they got due to the Streaming Wars upon us all.

So its all good for me, hell even if all turns to shit I still got a nice fat 401k, a pension, and some Green in the bank.

Are they, though?
They are locked into their "global monopoly" strategy which has already failed. They failed in India, they failed in China, they failed in Brazil, they failed in Russia. Margins are razor thin and only 4% of drivers work for them more than 1 year. They have to pay out sign on bonuses just to keep driver numbers up. They are locked into a pricing war vs Lyft, driving profits down.
So how will they turn a profit? Raise rates and lose customers to Lyft? Or reduce driver compensation and have no employees left to work the business?

Sad to say it but there will never be another "Amazon" type stock. Why? Cause when Amazon became a thing there was no competition. No one else did what Amazon did at the time. By the time others woke up it was to late, Amazon had took over.

UBER and Lyft both do roughly the same thing and both are burning cash like crazy. Then you got the traditional taxi services etc. So there is no room for one to outdo the other so the stock price won't be doing any crazy upswings anytime soon. Indeed the stock may be doing a big shit once the first quarter earnings come out.

Forgot to mention also that they have failed in the United States. In cities where they haven't got a monopoly they are competing with several other companies, hemorrhaging money. What happens when other companies enter their so called "profitable" markets? The company won't even release the specific number on their profitable cities which means they basically at a break even point in places where they achieve total domination.
Their only solution is to keep raping investors until self driving cars become a thing and hope to God that they can buy up enough of those and still make a profit (self driving cars won't be cheap). Bad business. Meanwhile they will be raising their fare prices to keep drivers on and maintain their already terrible cash flow which will let Lyft slide right in and take up half of their customers.

Let's look at some carbonated beverage companies.

You got KDP - Not only do you get Keurig as a bonus, but you get to own the elite brands in the carbonated beverage business. Dr. Pepper, Canada Dry, the list goes on. Canada Dry alone has launched dozens off mix flavors that are taking off bigly. Their drinks are popular with a younger audience as well.

Pepsi: A couple decent carbonated beverages though nothing as good as Dr. Pepper or Canada dry. They do have Mountain Dew. But most of all they have Frito Lay which fucking everyone loves and will continue to prop up their failing soda business. The best part of owning this stock is they may one day spin off the snack business which would send shares up 100% overnight.

Coke: Shitty boomer company with a shitty product line. Pays a fat dividend so low IQ fat boomer fucks like Buffet keep buying it. They have Dasani water I guess.

So in conclusion you should be buying KDP, PEP (for the snack business though with the drink product line more of a necessary evil) and shorting K.

Good points... it does seem like they can’t go lower, but they need to do a real change in directions on their shitty junk food, companies like Annie’s are stealing their market just by being more “human” and seeming healthier.

You know it's all good. When I'm done next week buying my shares I'm gonna just sit back and let it all work till I'm 65. Sure I'll poke my head in on it from time to time and read the brokerage statements, and be an active stockholder (voting during the meetings), etc. but in general it's gonna just be a "buy it and forget it" deal.

You can fuck yourself up real bad if you act hasty. The market can shit and you panic and pull out. But then next week your flying high and Profit is pouring in like mad. So by pulling out you lost out on all that profit.

My whole portfolio (investment) amount will be $7128, roughly. I stand to make with AMRN alone 10k. (going by latest estimates) So I'd have made back my whole investment plus a little extra with just AMRN.

So after that, my other holdings can all shit and burn and I could care less. I've made back plus extra what I put in after all. Long as I break even it's all good to me.

A recession is still a contingent event. If the FED lowers rates or Trump backs off, it will be prevented in the near term. The underlying systemic issues, however, will continue to fester. A recession may occur regardless however IF wage growth hits 4% and/or oil or grain prices spike.
