I have mixed feelings about iExec right now. The whole "decentralized computer processing" looks really good on paper and they've got alibaba and IBM into the "pools" of processing. But, if you go check the transactions being made by these "pools" they're all zeros.
Yep. No transactions on the "decentralized computer" for most part of the pools...

The only pool that have transactions are the ones managed by the iExec team and the transactions are all for shitty dApps made by the team themselves.

I'm going to hold my iExec until V3, five days from now, just to see if this new "decentralized datasets" will really pump the adoption of the project as a whole...

Can you name some? I'm really interested in this concept, I just think that people at iExec suck at marketing.

I'll get a bag of some shit alt that's not that shitty about decentralized computing (aka "provide your cpu for another moron run shit at your computer and get paid crumbs on a shittt token for this")

Holo fuel for example.
Dapps are totally cloned from eos/trx, and totally useless, they are just for show off.
Basically the frenchinks keep on cloning features from other successful coins and pretending their shitcoin does the same.

They keep it as a "low market cap gem ready to explode" forever, because it's easier to bring in some moron and then dump a good quantity of shit on him (aka easy free money).

Then they paid pajeets to keep on shilling the shitcoin to new morons.

No community at all, no support, no nothing.

I'll check out the alternatives. TY.

And, as a software engineer, I agree with the points that they've very little docs and support and nor they've a community. I get exited by this "decentralized Computing" and wanted to make a proof of concept but found no good docs about how to make it.

Apart from all the hype, kudos for LINK here. Their docs are very well written and have coherence. iExec team should put a better effort in this area...

As for Trx dApps, they are 99% gamble shitty apps. IMO this ruins the image of the token for any decent app that wants to use network for some serious thing.

I'm impressed and skeptical at the same time. Although it's a very nice proof of concept we're not going to fill our bags out of recue robots running at a lab.

C'mon, how many people will run ML models for rescue robots at a decentralized environment.

This can be done in-house.

But, buying a self-fliyng drone that do deliveries and letting him available at a network to perform deliveries and I get paid for it would be game. And, this would be an WAY better marketing than rescue robots since delivery drones got hyped after Bezos.

It makes the whole iExec looks like a P&D project, leveraging and experimenting the tech for other players with better marketing teams to rollout.
