I havn't studied them so I can't say, I've just gotten burned out reading about alts
I was really into GPU coins especially vertcoin around the time of the S2X scare but eventually wrote off all PoW that isn't cutting edge ASIC due to hidden ASICs and difficulty in maintaining ASIC resistance
I'm just comfortable holding bitcoin I have enough there's no point in risking it in an alt and incurring a tax event unless I really see something special in it
