I was thinking, what if you brought $5 (amount is irrelevant) worth of stocks from every company that profited from the previous day, wouldn't you just about always make money off of this? Over half of the companies would have to go negative the next day for you to even lose money so what are the chances of that?

I am looking to get started with stock trading, would Robin hood be a good option?

They don't have per-trade commissions, right? I guess that is a good thing for me since I only want to put in a couple hundred bucks to play around with.

When I was younger, I used to trade on those "paper money" online trading sites, and did reasonably well. Could you guys recommend me any books or online resources to get started with stock trading (NOT long-term investing)?

True but if they are wrong about the amount of money coming from those new buyers and my stock doesn't go back to the value it was at before they diluted the stock I lost money.
