I got a comp sci degree and don't even feel qualified to push a fucking broom. If I have kids I'll never send any of them to college. Fuck this scam.

you dont learn anything. The point is to get a certificate so you can get through the door instead of needing networking although nowadays you need networking.

You learn loads most the time, especially if you're a strong student

>learn whatever your major is of course
>massively improve time management
>how to argue properly, using evidence and the importance of objectivity
>I never met anyone smarter than me before college, and it taught me modesty and that there's always a bigger fish
>similarly made me less bothered about competing and more bothered about working together and getting shit done
>internships and connections couldn't get otherwise
>status symbol and proper respect from older people
>and of course, the highly paid job at the end (for most people I'm starting a PhD)

It's ALL networking now. College doesn't mean shit anymore. If you don't know how to talk to people, then you better be good at options trading or designing software.

Something i learned looking into wages and shit is that most people end up making very similar amounts of money per hour worked. Yes people like doctors and lawyers can make retarded sums of money but many end up working 16 hours a day. Everything feels like a fucking scam these days.

Absolute fucking cringe

Get out of here with defending this shit, you must be a fucking administrator at a university. I would not feel bad at all if you kikes got killed. Not advocating for it at all but I certainly wouldn't shed a tear over it.

the college bubble is going to pop soon once people realize you have access to all of human knowledge on the internet and you can connect and learn from high level people by using the internet.

a kid who's working on a community college degree can go on youtube and watch lectures from the best schools in the world and read articles and even technical papers about what top universities are in the process of researching.

or you can send an e-mail to someone who's doing something interesting in a field you're trying to work in and ask them questions. and even in the shittiest parts of the country you can look at who's doing meetup's and network with people who are learning the same shit you're learning and maybe work on projects with them and and maybe find places to work in your field with them.

knowledge is very decentralized now and the speed at which you can learn things has accelerated, plus that trend will only continue as technology gets better.

This 100%. I quit my chem phd becuase it was a depressing shithole full of underachievers who wanted to procrastinate getting a job. Taught myself web dev and have an internship for the summer lined up in 3 weeks, if you aren't a retard you can pick almost anything up if you know where to look.

The part that annoys me is I'm
starting an MSc after the internship ends in September, though I'd be very well equipped for a dev job at that point (had to go through the graduate hireing process to get this internship- they're legit). I'll still need the msc long term becuase boomers in hr who don't understand tech want that piece of paper.

Tldr, university is a waste of time, 6 months self study is enough to be at grad level if you have any discipline at all, but you still prob need a degree just so a retarded boomer doesn't filter your job application becuase of muh level 9 or equivalent qualification

Because they're surface level thinkers at best. The college administration and teaching staff make a point to defer the blame for their students' circumstances on mysterious "systemic problems" with capitalism itself because it's the perfect damage control. It's not a coincidence so many of these disgusting creatures are coming out so hard against Blimpf and capitalism in general, their gravy train will become derailed the second their students stop blaming their employers and start blaming the people that have been tithing them $400 a month for the past 5-10 years and looking at the how and why it's gotten as bad as it has. The real blame rests of course squarely on the shoulders of the same federal government these airheaded students now demand pay in full whatever these schools deign fit to charge at taxpayer expense.
