IRS will tax you on foreign income, and if you get permanent residency or god forbid naturalize as a citizen, you have to give them up if you ever want to escape the IRS
literally we are viewed as near permanent slaves by the IRS & by extension the federal government, and if you were born a US citizen or naturalize, you have to first wait a year to obtain an appointment for citizenship renunciation, pay a 5 figure "fee" (basically a fine though), then fill out an absolute shitload of paperwork; if you have assets collectively worth at least $2MM, then you also must undergo an exit tax under heavy scrutiny by the IRS. after all this, you must wait for your application to be approved and then wait to receive your certificate of renunciation. no foreign banks will accept your money unless you sign a ton of paperwork and you must report every foreign account, asset or company you have to the IRS.
