Jesus this fucking guy. People don't like superbowl ads because they're ads. People like superbowl ads because the enormous amount of normies who watch the superbowl has led to the price of a single ad costing millions of dollars which in turn has created the need for unique advertisements that are more like short comedy bits.

Aside from a few meme ads most ads are routinely hated and you all know it. You're deluding yourself if you think even the most braindead normie wakes up thinking "I would like to watch some ads today!". This is peak autism

>> No.13521741

>>13521665
Brave automatically blocks advertising within the page (also popups). When you enable Brave ads you aren't actually turning off ad blocking. It's still blocking all ads. What you're doing is consenting for curated/tailored to you ads to be sent directly through the browser via a notification system on the bottom right. Happens twice an hour by default or up to 5 times an hour if you consent to that. The ads themselves are very unobtrusive anon. You can just close the notification if it's not something you're interested in.

brave had a lot of users before the ICO, especially the mobile version, but it was still a failure and going bankrupt, and the ICO was a cashgrab to keep them afloat. >>13521841
oh no anon. facebook isn't going to use BAT. They decided to make their own coin: Facebook coin that is attempting to mimic the BAT platform. They fucked up a couple of ways though, mainly that they decided on Facebook coin being a "stable coin" in much the same way USDT is. Meaning there's 0 incentive to hold it.

What they've essentially done is copied the BAT platform idea, neutered it, and created a rewards/loyalty program around it. View ads on facebook, get paid facebook dollars that are redeemable on you guessed it: facebook.

>What they've essentially done is copied the BAT platform idea, neutered it, and created a rewards/loyalty program around it. View ads on facebook, get paid facebook dollars that are redeemable on you guessed it: facebook.
Well facebook is a lot better than brave. It has 1000x the user base, and their products are actually better than the competition, whereas brave is not better than chrome.

If facebook creates a coin, it will be successful on its own, and that is a good idea. Whether or not it has a reward system for watching ads is not gonna make or break it. It's a tiny detail in the whole thing. Whereas in brave, it's their only selling point.

facebook is definitely larger than brave, but better? it's apples and oranges bud. One is a browser, the other a website/ads platform.

Personally I see no reason why both aren't capable of thriving independently of the other. I can get paid right now in BAT to j/o to midget leg porn and then take that earned BAT and donate it to my church youth group. There's real power in that anon.

>> No.13522047

you're retarded, I explicitly stated why one is better than the other.

1. Facebook has 1000x the user base.

2. Facebook has actual products that are better than the competition (whatsapp, groups, messenger, instagram, marketplace, etc.)

Brave has little users for a browser, and its product is objectively inferior to the competition (chrome). I am sure 95% of people like myself tried brave and then returned to chrome when brave kept bugging out.

Facebook is an objectively better company, and has better products than Brave.

I've been using Brave on android for years now, and on the desktop since the electron builds. Few if any problems in all that time. The problems it did have were 100% related to blocking facebook/google tracking scripts that caused certain sites to break. You know the solution? disable "brave shields" for that one site. Boom fixed. If you or the other "95% of people" couldn't figure that shit out well there's only one thing to call you guys, isn't there?

That is incorrect. Facebook is not just facebook, facebook is instagram, whatsapp, messenger, marketplace, jobs, groups, etc. Each one of their app is a product on its own with its own growing or dwindling userbase. For example I havent posted or added any friend on facebook in years, but I use groups, marketplace, whatsapp and instagram daily.

Anyone thinking that facebook is dying is fucking retarded. The keep adding new products yearly and destroying industries. For example groups have destroyed forums, marketplace and jobs is destroying craigslist, whatsapp and IG are still dominating their niches.

Only low IQ normies like yourself think facebook is dead. There's frontpage reddit articles daily about the death of facebook. It couldn't be further than the truth.
