is it worthwhile to spend time scalping stock as someone starting out? i am broke as fuck and if i could make an extra $10 in a day with low risk that would help me out. when scalping, it would be wise to do it on something that seems to be stable but is that way because it is fluctuating as much up as it is down, right?
I'm obviously going to read and lurk more before i do anything, but I'm looking for something to look forward to. also, better to learn about stocks before crypto right? or does it not matter?

don't do anything people on this board tell you to do or you're going to get fucked just some advice from one newfag to another

now that that's out of the way just put it all into BTC next time it crashes from it's current rising position and wait, it's literally that easy

I doubt BTC will ever stabilize, but it's better this way imo. Less risk = less reward, but that doesn't mean your probability for success is an equal chance.

If you want safe you will be looking at bonds making 2-3% interest annually on whatever you put in. But if you want to potentially lose everything you invest do your own research and learn WHY some crypto coins are the safest or best bets. I personally see only a few cryptocoins being worth the value assigned to them, the actual original bitcoin (not BSV) seems at first glance to be the coin with the best chance at stable future gains in my opinion based off it's limited market cap, being the largest name in the crypto industry, and having significant volume among other things.

I used to swing trade mining stocks, that shit is volatile as fuck and you get a lot of chances to buy low sell high.

But the problem is, eventually the market moves significantly and you're stuck on the wrong side of a trade. E.g. you bought at the bottom but then the price of the commodity collapses and the price of the mining stock drops even more.

A lot of people on /biz/ try the same thing with crypto. Same thing applies -- you can make money sometimes but if you're short when the market goes up or long when the market drops you get trapped in a bad trade that you have to take a big loss to exit out of.

Honestly you're better off buying BTC like the other anon said, or putting the money into index funds or dividend stocks.

can't this be circumvented by slowly reducing the amount you invest as you make profit? cushioning or something?
buy for 5, get 6. reinvest 4, lose and sell for 3. by investing less i break even at 5 again but i could have gotten 7 if i gained 1 from investing 4. am i retarded?

Bro, if im honest with you. I am doing scalping on practice platforms, that's what i recommend. Try scalping on practice platforms.
Plus500 offers a nice practice platform as well as eToro.
I do not recommend trading crypto.

> Watch day trade videos to understand basic day trading this video is a recommendation from me : https://youtu.be/GTtKLeDTCHo
> Dont gamble your money and start practice trading only with the amount of money you intend to put in. And practice platforms allow you to trade without the risk of losing money.

Bro good luck dont trust crypto

Use them bro. Plus500 has both the real component and the practice components sam as eToro.

>Plus500 takes a night maintenance which is basically a fee. You accumulate this fee and although not a lot, over and extended period of time it does add up, good thing is that if you are doing day scalping you'll basically have no fee but im pretty sure that there is a buy-in fee which is why it will show the opening rate as higher than the current rate.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I was at the same position as you and there is good money to be made especially if you are willing to put time and effort into scalping
