I spent 2018 feeling depressed. Everyday refreshing twitter and reddit hoping to see something to get me through it. I sold all my ICX a few months ago and have not looked back. Letting it go was painful, but it was a good first step. It taught me to never get attached to a project. The reason you are attached is not because you believe, but you are attached to the high you once felt. I realize now that is why we have these community members who are so hiveminded that refuse to see how they are getting fucked. It's because at some point, that period experienced the greatest gains with that coin, and they become attached.

I can't tell you what to do with it, but when I sold it, it was painful, but very releiving. I can honestly say stepping back, that I just don't see ICX accomplishing anything like ETH or the likes. Nobody uses their mainnet. Nobody cares about the ICOs.

The ICX coin is 100% used as a pool of liquidity to dump on retail. That 55m token unlock in september was a perfect example of that. ICX is just like ripple and any other company that has a crypto. simply to have a pool of liquidity to dump on others to fund their company.

Nobody uses their main net. Nobody cares about their muh partnerships. When is the last time they got listed on another exchange? They've delayed everything. Now all the community members have to wait ALL THE WAY until september for staking to vote. (BTW, I'll bet theyll just elect their gook buddies and everyone else will be like WTF). as an icx whale I see the same posts over and over again, so ill try to explain it in the simplest way I can

1. ICX cost 0.11$ in ico, a few months later you bought it for 10$ with nothing happening in between except the exchange listing.
Thats on you, its the stupidest thing you could have ever done in your life, the only reason to buy in that situation would be if you believe that Samsung and bunch of other mega corporations would be using it, which is never going to happen in real world for a brand new technology and a new entry into the space.

2. Since then ICX dumped hard, harder than almost any project known in existence, which makes sense based on its insane run up, they deserved to dump so much because the price was extremely unrealistic. Now that being said is ICX at a realistic price right now? I would say its undervalued by a decent amount. Show me another project in crypto with that many people working on it day to day, yes the progress is slow but its done the right way. And the best part is you can fly over to Seoul to their HQ and see for yourself.

So stop crying, if you bought at the top its on you, have patience and wait for the natural progression of their hard work, it will take a few years but they have a better CHANCE to deliver than almost any other project.

Bought 36k as soon as it hit binance, sitting comfy, definitely the project with the biggest growth opportunities and will have the most real world adoption, but clearly it's a long term play.

For your 1st point, it's hard to tell where the top is, no point kicking people for that. Everything could have capped out at $0.20, $1, $2, $5, or $20 and you could be saying the same thing.
For the 2nd point, the timing of ICX hitting exchanges for its runnup while every other coin was running up just made it go even higher. That it was just before the bear market just means it will be dumped more than others.

You dont need scalability if no one uses it. The proper way is to make use cases and then scale it up, they are doing everything the right way so far, eth is definitely way ahead from icon but this year will be big for icon.

I basically went all in ICX at like 2-4 dollar range. Held it from there, to 12.50 or whatever the top was, ALL the way down to like 60-90 cents. After like you, spending the entire year of 2018 genuinely depressed, looking and searching for any possible reason to be bullish on ICON, getting my hopes up only to be let down by lack of development in the ICON network and learning nobody fucking cares about ICON, I sold and never looked back. Their ICOs are nothing but money grabs. Nearly all the companies who were at their annual summit (which they didnt even have in 2019 so why call it an annual summit, just goes to prove that whole summit shit was nothing but hype for them to dump on retail), anyway all the fucking tokens and teams that said they were gonna build on the ICON network, they all fucking left man. All of them. Why? Because ICON doesn't have a fucking network. They have a private business conglomerate that embezzles and launders money and they are more than likely using ICON to just fund whatever else they are doing and ICON is going to die in the next few years
