He keeps opening his big dumb mouth. It's like he gets off on wrecking his own project. You can tell he doesn't hold any bat himself.

Brave is having really strong network growth. It's been exponential since the start of the year.

>> No.13443420

>>13443358
Not really. If you actually look at the growth it's mostly just pajeet youtube channels. No one of note is using it.

>> No.13443466

Love all of the BAT fud;

Over 100,000 people already hold this shit.

By the end of the year it will be in the millions.

Once Firefox adds the token every person can only hold 10 bat

Kind of disappointed in Brendan for getting visibly butthurt (why make something open source if you're going to get mad at someone, even another company, copying it-it's not just a buzzword lol), but unless I'm mistaken Gab has been fudding Brave from near the beginning for pretty much no real reason-other than the fact that they aren't using whatever crypto the Gab staff are invested in maybe, i.e. the posts you see on here:

>hurr why don't they use BTC or DAI or any other third party company's shitcoin durr (https://www.coindesk.com/makerdao-set-to-increase-dai-fees-above-15-in-bid-to-stabilize-stablecoin))

I fundamentally believe in-if nothing else-the "spirit" of both projects (Brave's browser and Gab's social network) and think there's plenty of space in the market for both, so to see the two being antagonistic towards eachother is unfortunate but in the end I don't really give a shit.

In the end Gab is pretty much demographically irrelevant whereas Brave is not/is becoming less so by the day, and I think that's where this cringe-inducing nerd fight's origins truly begin.

>Gab reported 850,000 registered user accounts in December 2018, although Storyful found that only 19,526 unique usernames had posted content during a seven-day period between January 9 and January 16, 2019

Mozilla was cofounders by Eich;
Eich has mentioned before that Mozilla will integrate it if it launches successfully on Brave.
In addition BAT is going to be a premium currency for games (already Apple approved) and it’s going to be on smart TVs

>> No.13443948

>>13443854
I hope Gab BTFOs them, since they weren't greedy cucks and didn't invent a new currency, instead they opted to use Bitcoin.

>>13443915
i would wager those stats are inaccurate at best. just like click farms there are also traffic farms. bots are a thing. also like brendan says there is no reason why anyone would download and use brave. only way BAT makes it is if they make a firefox and chrome add on. the brave browser is a redundant shit that doesn't even block ads.

Why does gab have such a low US ranking compared to global? You normally only see that in local sites like Chinese sites. Where are all of gab’s users?

>> No.13444052

Oh look, more and more people posting about Brave and BAT :)

Not a surprise, people are obsessed with it. Threads FUDing it, threads praising it, rivals copying it, people using Brave while shitposting about it... it’s all welcome. The Brave team marches on.

Go ahead, continue making threads about Brave and BAT :) we’ll see where Brave is at by the end of the year

>> No.13444070

Another cool thing about BAT is that it keeps going despite the change in FUD. We’re currently onto a new FUD, the GAB FUD, but we’ve been through the PRL FUD, the $1 FUD, the “useless funding token” FUD... just like BTC, BAT keeps getting hit with new FUD every few months and keeps going and improving. That’s the sign of a good project.

>> No.13444264

If there is one thing humans are bad at estimating, it’s exponential growth, because it doesn’t occur in nature. If you take a drop of water and double it in size, it wouldn’t take very long to flood a soccer stadium.

This will be similar to BAT, 25 million wallets holding bat end of year. Everyone has been warned. I can’t imagine missing out on this one

Gab fud is coming from BTC maximalists, they are trying to stamp out BAT before it becomes a threat. Protip to them: Dont use your competitor's name in your slogan. "Be Braver" will work out as well as "Love Trumps Hate"

shut up dipshit, back in 2010 nobody on 4chan ever claimed "Reddit posting!!!" because nobody even knew what it was. Then Redditors came around and starting spouting that shit to try and fit in. It's the most obvious way in the world to out yourself as a Redditor.

>>13443101
Another thing: the resentment towards "BAT" is the most pathetic, anti-cryptocurrency argument in existence. It literally boils down to "Why didn't Brave use [this cryptocurrency that I own]?"

Bitcoin maximalists love the idea of Brave, yet hate BAT. But if Brave had used Bitcoin you better fucking believe there would be people complaining about tx times, the fees, and parroting "Why didn't Brave use [stable coin]?", "Why didn't Brave use [this other shitcoin that I hold a big bag of]?" What a tiresome argument. It's so transparent too - as if the argument against BAT is fooling anyone, it's literally just sour grapes, complaining, beta male logic. "You could have used [my shitcoin]! Now I dislike your project!"

Look at almost any cryptocurrency. The same weak as fuck, salty, sour grapes argument can be launched at loads of cryptocurrency-focused projects. "You could have just used Bitcoin instead!" But obviously that's a retarded argument. Yeah, you could use Bitcoin, but your project would fail because Bitcoin doesn't fit those projects for millions of different reasons, you fucking dipshit Bitcoin maximalists. Brave tried using Bitcoin at the very start, and it would have sandbagged the project into failing if they tried to force it.

TLDR; The Bitcoin Maximalist argument against using BAT is a reflection of Bitcoin's failures as a project. The need for BAT is proof that Bitcoin is not, and never will be the "Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" it was meant to be.

you can always spot reddit memes because of the superimposed text. normies can't actually tell what a meme is about unless it has giant text above it telling them what it is. it's really quite sad.
