If Tether suddenly becomes not-real, why does that tank the bitcoin price? Sure you can't buy any bitcoin with your imaginary tether now, but that means people also can't sell their bitcoin into tether either. Other than thousands of people suddenly losing all their money because they were tethered up at the wrong time, why does this affect bitcoin price at all (other than via irrational panic selling)? Tell it to me like I'm a brainlet please.
