Has anyone ever worked for a storage unit before? How's the pay and the work load?

There's a facility near my parents' house hiring and they have a built in apartment unit I can live in, too.

I intended to move back in with them at the end of the month because my dad's recovering from a surgery and my mom is kind of socially dysfunctional and is diabetic but I figure this might make an interesting compromise because it's so close by and I figure I can probably leave the grounds for short periods of time with no issue

You're going to live in a storage unit in the storage facility you work for?

Easy work man. If you need a job and can get it, take it.

Nah there's a decent sized living space there built in-looks to be the size of a two bedroom apartment.

Currently I manage a used video game store for $14 an hour, it's already pretty easy work but I'm definitely not against easier if the pay and benefits are right. Honestly it'll be hard to bring myself to leave I think-I've been working there a while

Would you have regular work hours? Like 9 to 5?

I think so. The only problem from that point would be hearing the awful sound of the gate opening when the boomers come through.

Well, the 1st thing to do is ask what the pay is. Without that info, you just sitting here letting a potential op go to someone else.

Call and say hey I saw you are looking to fill a position and I just wanted to ask what the salary/hrly rate for the position is. Pretty simple. Then decide your next step from there.

That could be kinda interesting though. You could set up a camera, and record all the weird shit you'd see there and you could start a YT channel with that.

I already asked them if they were hiring (just put it out there because I was considering getting a unit like I'd had before-there doesn't seem to be a chance in hell my stuff is going to fit in my parents' house) and they seemed very interested in having somebody there from the get go-but yeah the salary didn't come up unfortunately. If I can get [current wage] + rent free I'd do it in a heartbeat but I really don't know what to expect.

The idea of having the whole thing to myself is really appealing though, it's almost like I'd be the mayor of a little village or something

ok maybe /biz/ should do a startup . crowd source a company that shits in autists assess as a sort of public service. maybe get some enforcer guys to walk around with bear mace and say shit like "go with god brother" who hold down random autists we find on the street and pay a few power bottom faggots to do the shitting in others assess

I don't think this represents a sound business model I'm afraid. Autists could just go to a professional football game and dildo their butthole with a big piece of Chadshit from the public bathrooms for free
