I know this is a shitpost, but I do think a lot of shithole cities could get improved if they weren't such greedy corrupt fucks demanding thousands in back property taxes to pay for the privilege of living in their shithole town.

I think millennials would be down for buying houses in some places like that if you actually allowed them to buy the place for the cost of a used car. They'll already have to put 20g into gutting and refurbishing the place anyway. If the city wants money so bad, they should be encouraging people to move in without back property taxes, as those people will create sales tax and property taxes of their own when they revitalize the area, plus bring jobs and business taxes.
