I would bet my house on the fact that LINK will be around $0.50(+/-0.05) for the next 3 months. Probably longer.

If BTC rallies and there's a short squeeze, LINK's BTC price will probably go into freefall. It has already broken the long upward trendline that has supported it since august. However, for all this slumping in the LINK/BTC price, it has remained in a range around 50c stably for a while now. It may be that more people are trading it against the dollar now and that it is consolidating for another run.

My personal hope is that the market will feel that the BTC price is too low and buy it up regardless of what BTC does. That would be great. But if mainnet actually launches anytime soon people are gonna sell the fucking news and this snowflake of a coin will be done for a few months.

I dont think you understand how prices work. BTC/LINK and USD/LINK are not separate prices, they only depend to the ratio of BTC:USD. You can pretty much exclude the cost of LINK in USD in this calculation because it’s practically a stablecoin. If you look at the charts, BTC/LINK should be nearly identical to BTC/USD just off by a factor of 2.

Same happens if BTC were to crash, except the USd value would dramatically drop too.
We're unironically going to have the chance to buy at $0.30 again.
