I have been working in Japan as an engineer for a couple years and I ve seen back-stabbing going on. Also some of my Japanese bosses trained me as one of them,like whenever I have a little problem with someone at work(like I hate the sniffing sounds jap ppl makes),I should talk to the supervisor of that person who is making the noise and should not talk to that in person in any case.

This makes me very uncomfortable,and iam wondering how is that possible to make it better specially when someone do that on me.

i talked to my wife about it more just now, she says its just how everything is done here. i called it bitchmade behaviour but she says well, thats just how everyone does it. do with that what you wish, maybe escalating to shachou isnt such a big deal here in which case you dont need to take offense to it or feel bad if you do. you prob know a lot more about japan than me but fuck me the culture difference is stark. they do some weird shit that would tilt me to no end but for them its just normal things.
