I had something similar when i had a job. It was an engineering company and i was surrounded by what anon would call "normies" - adult, serious middle-class men with families, kids and real hobbies (like hunting, fishing or sports). I was (and still am) a typical beta incel foreveralone, raised in a poor single-parent family, who doesn't have a social life, avoids interactions and whose main hobby is playing computer games. While at work I constantly had an "imposter syndrome" and was trying to hide my true identity from my colleagues, which didn't end well.

Trust me they are not. They are all, piece by piece, weird crazy individuals who have been through all kinds of weird shit, thinking the most ridiculous things. So stop thinking you are so god dam special or different, you are not. Just start to try enjoying yourself and feel good about the fact that you are earning enough money to make a living and invest into the future. (and ofcourse have a little spare left for some fun). This is an excellent analogy that describes the situations I find myself in. Sometimes I find myself in these meetings with high-level executives. No, i just had a burnout, then a conflict with one of the superiors and finally did quit my job. Which kind of fucked me up even more. Been officially unemployed for many years since then, now I can't even imagine to get back to a similar job, because it's going to be even worse, since i'll have to start from scratch in a completely new environment with the same issues.
