Look, I love XMR its number two in my holds. I also understand the argument about optional vs mandatory privacy, but will the market care?

How effective is Cashshuffle's privacy? If its on par to XMR's (despite on/off privacy settings) isn't it potentially a competitor?

At any rate shuffling on btc is what people on darknet markets do and it cost anywhere from 2-6% for the service. That service is now available from your fucking Electron Cash wallet basically for free. This is sort of a big deal.

Interesting feature, but I'm still going to stick with Monero.
Its success all depends on whether the dark web adopts it

idk how many markets accept BCH. I think lots of them opened up to it after the shitshow of fees and wait times from the bullrun.

I think I'd trust XMR's privacy more overall and will continue to hold it. However with this feature available for free on BCH I think it could stifle a lot of XMR's market share.

The developer who put it together did it for fucking free. I'm probably going to send him something as a token of gratitude.

He's a bitcoin.com article on it:

Kudelski Security is the firm that did the security audit Cashshuffle, idk who they are or how much credit they have though desu.

Nevermind, that's just an overview. This is the entire audit:

Alternatively go to the overview link and scroll to the bottom of the page and there is a link to the full audit.

XMR is still more "anonymous" as far as I know.
