Intel is going thru the roof when they finish up with this lawsuit

>Company invents cool shit which bypasses von-neumann bottleneck on CPU processors by stacking the memory on top of CPU in a 3D lattice
>Intel goes maximum semite and enters into conspiracy to misappropriate patents and technology
>ECD (energy conversion devices) shits itself for no apparent reason and the company fucking dies and sells its most valuable assets for an absolute bargain to intel (most importantly patents)
>Intel suddenly stops talking about ECD's intellecual property - goes completely dark until 2015
>A single tech journalist got buttmad because he was an investor in ECD and only after investigation found out what had happened to the IP - releases article
>1 month later intel releases an abomination of a chip which had "3D XPoint" technology on it
>Completely rushed it so they could deny it was ECD tech
>2017 release a CPU completely locked down - autists tear apart CPU and look at it with electron microscopes and find ECDs technology inside
>completely shits it, found out incorporating ECD tech and IP but not the whole thing - only part way
>come to todays tech
>intel ups the addressing speed on sunny cove (codename) from 256 terabytes (a limit not even scratched today) to 4 petabytes (omfg)
>new chip look - chips are large for no reason. The silicon which sits beneath them is largely empty space - just some encoding, decoding and error control. Boring DRAM stuff. There's no sexy silicon where there should be - compression, encryption, etc. But - most importantly, a processor needs to be down there. And the whole chip needs to be fabbed with gigahertz-capable CMOS. Lastly, there needs to be another 15 layers of memory on top of this one. At least
>All at 10 nanometers. Terabytes stacked on top of the CPU and GPU
>RESULTING IN A 3-4 ORDER OF MAGNITUDE INCREASE IN PERFORMANCE

The ECD bankruptcy trust just filed a document which states that they expect their efforts to sell an AI subsidiary to "continue through 2019." It doesn't matter if Micron and Intel misappropriated the technology or not - ECD is gone and it isn't coming back. Micron and Intel now own a da Vinci that gives them a leg up on nearly half a trillion in total annual market. I suspect that this is what is behind the hold up on 3D XPoint gen2 and Intel's 5G, Cannonlake, and silicon photonics, among other things.

It really doesn't matter what it costs. Just realize that we won't see the real non-silicon breakthroughs until ECD lawsuit finally wraps up. Now that it's in the sunlight in front of a judge, I think that Intel will just settle this amicably so that they can finally release these technologies. Maybe they'll drag it through the court for another year. Either way if you stock up now you're in for a massive boom. Like shit on nvidia, AMD in both CPU and GPU and completely dominate the market. Intel has gone into maximum overjew and you're a fool if you don't cash in to the best of your ability.

btw this is the entire reason intel has been fucking TRASH for the best part of 5 years. They stole technology, tried to insert it into their CPUs - got found out and buttfucked into having no roadmap because they bet 100% on the stolen IP.

Once the lawsuit is settled we are in for a boom the likes of which will not be seen in processing for a very long time.

intredasting.
i thought AMD had an advantage with his 7nm chip due next year.

See that's really only a 25% jump
HBM2 is AMDs current version of ECD's tech but it cannot compete with the amount of memory - just 24gig

so when is the new intel (stolen) tech coming on the market? or do you have any source on the lawsuit settlement?
because i dont think they'll release the new IP while being under lawsuit
thanks for the info btw i didnt read this anywhere else.

Source of lawsuit happenings

The release of tech can only happen as the above anon mentioned they completely beefed their 7nm process and fucked up their entire roadmap from 2017 to about 2021 - the sooner this is settled the better off they will be. They have an entire CPU architecture just waiting for the go ahead.

The first two pages tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about intel stock going into the future.

The shit they stole had real value and its all in intels hands atm.
