Let's go through this. Do we know exactly why deposits and withdrawals are blocked? Because if they truly are for price reasons and to stop arbitrage, that would be actually extremely counter-productive. Arbitrage shouldn't be illegal or banned or something, it actually ensures enough liquidity across markets and helps with price discovery. Once all markets are open, the prices would converge in the mean (weighed by volume) and once the prices would drift apart again, arbitragers would again sell on one side and buy on the other, merging the gap together again. So why the withdrawal and deposit block? Because of a hack? Why only Chainlink though? Are Koreans actually retarded?

it's not only chainlink, there are dozens of shitcoins trading at a 100%+ premium on bithumb right now. All with impossible volumes.

Very well written anon. I specially like how you managed to explain arbitrage mechanics in a single sentence.

I have the exact same questions you have. Sadly nobody knows the answers.

Coinmarketcap specifically removes bithumb from their price aggregation. What does that tell you?

>> No.13267844

It tells me coinmarketcap is smart enough to filter out info that looks like an outlier, but not smart enough to analyze/understand the reasons behind those outliers.

I don't know, maybe because of an automated outlier detection?

Which other ones? I checked some, all 3 or so seemed reasonable. Don't have the patience to go through every single one.

The other day I asked the same think and someone mentioned MTL. It used to be at a considerable premium (50%+) on bithumb vs other exchanges... but nowhere near the premium LINK has on bithumb vs other exchanges (200%+)
