cheapies Friday!

Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

>When it is time for us to sell, or even to stop buying, the response could be quite strong; there is every reason to expect a strong response. So there are a couple of ways to look at it. It is about $1.2 trillion in sales; you take 60 months, you get about $20 billion a month. That is a very doable thing, it sounds like, in a market where the norm by the middle of next year is $80 billion a month. Another way to look at it, though, is that it’s not so much the sale, the duration; it’s also unloading our short volatility position.

Hey guys!
PLUG shill here, been a while yea yea wife had a baby couldn’t get here to signal for a spell
Anyways, 2.65! Wow we’re killing it! China is the catalyst this time. Word is we’re looking at moving units to them at a premium and increase revenue 2 fold. The new drive system is absolutely TOP NOTCH. I would say either wait for a lull to load up on more shares the next push is to 2.80 and I’m thinking that happens next week.

lol what? Uranium is a quite common element on earth ( fuck its in regular ocean water if you filter enough)
also uranium isnt the only nuclear fuel, but even if it was, theres more than enough to fulfill our current energy needs for a few billion years at least, so even if we use more energy in the future, its still fine

besides,if we get enough variety in the types of reactors various places use, we can just use decay chains and various particle bombardments to "make" heavy elements that are in short supply anyways

but we cant get there when Nuclear power gets shit on by ignorant retards (and the politicians who listen to them)

As the other poster said, other materials can be bred. If the only possible source of nuclear power was naturally occurring U235, of course nuclear is a more challenging proposition. Yes and no. You need breeder reactors to create other fissible elements (which adds to costs) and don't you fucking dare to mention thorium, because you saw it in a youtube video
>"Nuclear power gets shit on by ignorant retards"
Agree, but you are also ignorant of nuclears shortcomings. That isn't better. Nuclear is good for small, power hungry nations and for baseline electricity. That's it, no more.

>>13235701
It would also radiate if we didn't use it up in a reactor. Technically we are shortening the radiation of the whole earth, so it's a positive. When you mined uranium, you make the place where you mined it "less radioactive". Just put the used up (now less radioactive) waste products back into the earth (of course where it is safe to do so).

Only naturally occurring isotopes that spontaneously fission (just U-235). So not very much a noticeable thing; except when fission products bubble up through the crust into your basement (IE radon)

>>13235787
>>Yes and no. You need breeder reactors to create other fissible elements (which adds to costs)
again, the more plants there are (and the greater the variety of each plants reaction) the less of an issue this becomes
and we already have infrastructure for the basics, we arnt exactly starting from scratch nowadays
>and don't you fucking dare to mention thorium, because you saw it in a youtube video
lol no, theres plenty of different ways to run reactors with the same isotope in different rates/ratios/physical setups/ect
theres dozens of variables that impact how much power at what rate is made by the various useable materials

>>13235787
>Nuclear is good for small, power hungry nations and for baseline electricity. That's it, no more.
Nuclear is good for largescale, industrial uses of energy, and steady constant loads
its not so good with small amounts at reasonable price/risk ratio, and its not good for loads that vary drastically with time, just steady power loads, or predictable stable (and slower) cyclical loads

solar can be arguably better for residental power needs (at least in rural settings), but renewables cannot match the shear quantity that many industries need (hospital equipment can be power hogs, not to mention factory work and assembly needs, (medium induction and arc furnaces need a good 1.5 GJ per tonne of steel/iron)

you cant power the mordr world on solar and wind alone, you need nuclear or fossil fuels, and theres one thats clearly better than the other, and yet it gets shit on more

nuclear's flaw is that it doesnt scale small enough to be useful in transport

No. In a breeder reactor, you have mind-boggling numbers of neutrons. for 'free'. The amount of extra thermal energy 'lost' by having a fertile blanket that absorbs neutrons is unbelievably small compared to the power output from fissioning all that fuel
Again fissible isn't a word (unless it is some Euro thing I don't know about). We say 'fissile' or less often 'fissionable'
The second law always applies, but in the case of making a fertile isotope fissionable and splitting it, you are releasing the energy of the nuclear bonds of the whole nucleus, which is NUTTY compared to the binding energy of the one extra neutron getting absorbed by your U238 or TH232

>we arnt exactly starting from scratch nowadays

obvious bait but short answer:
It's easier for an individual to fund build and operate a coal plant than it is for one to do the same with a nuclear plant, because economics of scale

Nuclear requires multiple financial backers, and higher technical knowledge, along with tighter centralized regulation, but in the long term the benefits to the whole population are not even compatible between the two

Coal is mainly popular because it's so easy to opperate a retard can do it, while nuclear requires more logistics and education to work properly

Up 0.49% today, I can't tell the same for this week because yahoo finance and my broker don't give this kind of info. Consider that my broker gives me only the last stock price, without portfolio growth data. They send me a portfolio check via regular mail once a month. Wew lads, I'm stuck in 1990

And since it's interest factored by the strike price, even if you're bearish on the whole market in general, you can just be on the short put of a bear fund, that way you're getting the right side of the interest, and well if the shit gets exercised you've got bear shit in your portfolio that some one paid a premium for you to own.

Contrary to popular belief Chili's DOES NOT CARRY the Bloomin' Onion, that is offered exclusively by Outback Steakhouse. The Chili's equivalent, the Awesome Blossom, was discontinued in the mid 2000s following a consumer health report which ranked it as the least healthy appetizer in America.
