they did not spend a penny on marketing back then as they did rather use it on development in the last interview they did say they have secured funds for at least 2 years even if we stay in bear market i actually find that refreshing
i think that the main problem was that there was very little comunication with the comunity back then but nowadays there always some developers on discord who answering all questions
