How much NEO would you have to hodl to be considered at least somewhat respectable? I have a pitiful amount.

Please tell me. So I can feel like less of a loser. Where would you stop at? Or at least, where would you consider yourself to be "okay" in terms of comfiness? Not even looking for a lambo I just want to be less of a loser and move out the USA if I can get enough cash.

Thanks.

I'd say at least 500 at minimum. That way you're making at least 1 GAS a week and ATH puts you in the 6 fugures.

Walton coin made me some quick bank when it first came out, but sadly I had very little to invest, so I made very little money. Double of $300 is still just $300.

>>13222985
Thanks for the advice. I'll strive for more. Do you think it will ever go above its previous ATH? It was around $180 max last time right?

Should I dump my neo for link right now? Is this chink coin anything but a centralized scam? Does it have a future?

If NEO ever succeeds, it is GAS that will skyrocket. GAS is akin to ETHER, super low circulating supply,
GAS GOING TO $1000, NEO to $800

"If we treat GAS as a currency that is “spent” on running the NEO ecosystem, one can also see that $100 billion market value is not excessive. The total annual transaction value of a currency is the product of its fundamental “value” multiplied by its annual “money velocity” (or how many times the currency exchanges hands). If one assumes that GAS is spend on an average of 10x a year, a $100B market value for GAS assumes an annual total transaction value of $1 trillion USD. This would represent 0.1% of the over $1,000 trillion USD in global transactions that’s estimated to take place by 2025"

Total trash.

A direct Chink clone of ETH with 100% more centralization and 100% more Chink ethics. Also, absolutely no one uses the network.

They've waived almost every red flag. Go through old NEO threads and compare sentiment and see that it's a sick circle of sunk cost fallacy and constantly managed expectations.

Like when ONT was going to use NEO and just be for private, legally liable chains. Nope. Now "competition is healthy" and let us never speak of the their parasitic start. "Identity + assets + smart contracts = smart economy 2017" is now they we're paying some Russians to write a neoID module for us and will get it one day in 2019-2020. NEO has hundreds of millions in capital has become we have 2 million usd, 4 times that in ETH and BTC, more liabilities than ever with our Seattle office and are going to liquidate the remaining 50 million NEO and shit down the throats of anyone who isn't daytrading us... thanks longs!

That is why. It has been a gradual slide into mediocrity and is getting harder to apologize for as the smoke clears and the mirrors crack. Do your diligence.

It isn't a clone of ETH. Not even an indirect one. It's still trash, but you do yourself a disservice by chimping out without having your facts straight.

IDK it seems like NEO has always been under a constant FUD storm. Remember back when the qtum fags were always trying to pump their copy coin. I'm gonna wait to see what 3.0 brings. I'm still holding it because I've got enough of other positions so its not a big deal if it craps out. I think its more likely it will pump again during the next bull especially if it corresponds with 3.0 release. Although knowing I could swap my stack for another 50K LINK right now is tempting af

I feel like since it's backed by the Chinese government, centralization is a moot point. If anything that would help the coin. China isn't going to flood billions into something it doesn't have absolute complete control over.

Dude it's not backed by the chinese government. That was a huge meme and has 0 merit. Dump NEO it is absolute chink garbage. Seriously. This will NEVER pump again.

I got 500. I forgot how I came up with the target. It used to be my #1 hope. It seems like a bad gamble now compared to eth and rlc, but I'm holding, just in case.

All-In NEO here, been holding since the rebrand and followed this coin to Hell and back multiple times.
Yes, NEO will reach $500-1000 in the next bullrun easily on the mere fact its the closest competitor to ETH and I honestly believe they're ahead thanks to Trinity's ideas for scaling the network. When ETH moves, NEO will be in the spotlight as a competitor and speculative vehicle for those who missed ETH.

No, its not a good asset to speculate on right now because outside of generating GAS the only thing to look forward to is 3.0 late next year so you should be trying to buy nash when it launches and ride it to $15-20 then maybe sit on NEO for the long term cap gains tax rates + GAS generation, a good amount of NEO is minimum 500.

Finally to all the haters, you have no idea how far along this project has come and 3.0 is gonna be the easiest 10x and if ETH hasnt scaled, expect a 20x as speculators drive this to battle ETH in marketcap.

>> No.13226655

>>13226120
Thanks for all the info. I am long term holding. Not speculating short term. I suck at that.

You are pretty much guaranteed to gain with any crypto you choose, as long as it's not a newer scamcoin. I hope.

its not backed by the Chinese government. if anything i think the creation of ONT was a way to deal with China. In the long run I think ONT is going to have a tough time competing outside of china. the centralization talk is moot because they have said from the beginning that they were going to restrict the number of nodes in the beginning and then roll them out slowly. They presented a plan for increasing decentralization over time and have made demonstrable progress on this front. NEO was never designed to be as decentralized as ETH. The reason I keep NEO in the portfolio is because it is both different and robust. People forget that they have been around almost as long as ETH. The finality that NEO offers is appealing to certain market segments and should not be dismissed. I dont see the future as a world where everything runs on a single chain. Each chain offers different advantages and disadvantages. In 3-5 years, NEO will still be around.
