bitcoin fork memes of 2017 with regards to zclassic specifically is a good one to look into. you could hold either bitcoin or zclassic to get forked coins of "bitcoin private", since zlcassic was so much cheaper this pumped zclassic from $1 to $200 in one month. a few hours before the "snapshot" of the the zclassic and bitcoin blockchains that you need to hold through to recieve your forked coins, zclassic started dumping massively, so anyone who held to get the forked coins lost about 90% of their value on zlcassic coins almost over night, 99% to the bottom. and the forked coin ended up being a failed project. lul
