If you wait for them to mature, and wait to buy bonds, you miss the entire point of buying during the recovery.

Think of it like this: You have 100 shares of SPY. Sell after inversion, market tanks 50% at some point. It recovers a bit, and you buy back in (3 years always, so you aren't trying to time it). Watch out for the penny stock breakout sell off pattern. Essentially, pump, dump all of those gains the following day, then pump again. It has happened to me on small cap stocks enough that I no longer use a trailing stop on spike ups like that. I will take partial profit immediately, then set a limit buy near the day's low. Keep an eye on things from there and see what the dealio is going to be. If the buy side isn't populating after the red day like I want, I'll pull my limit order off the table and maybe sell the remainder of my existing position if a lower entry looks possible.

Just personal observation. Penny stocks sometimes don't break out smooth. You get uncertainty on the initial break in the form of rapid pump, dump, pump, dump twitching before it settles in to a trend. It seems to be more common on technical breakouts as opposed to good news breakouts. On good enough news you just get a flood of buyers and the thing moons pronto.

Media mergers are all the rage now. Streaming and content to fill it is the new king. Lions gate has content. They own the starz cable channel, they have a small startup streaming option going. Like I said they are cheap. Some large mega corp could buy them for peanuts and rebrand the Starz channel and flesh out the Streaming platform they got for next to nothing compared with rolling out a whole new system from scratch.

Every day with money not in stock is day wasted if youre averaging. You can do 50/50 if you really feel like recession is a 100% opportunity so you buy stock for half your monthly deposits.
