I doubt you're going to get a reply from an actual 2015-or-before /biz/raeli

when people do census threads on /biz/, the earliest people who reply came in 2016 or later

2013 bitcoin buyer. I packed them away and didn't follow crypto again until late 2017.

I happened to hear about ETH around the $4 mark but I wasn't interested in getting my head back into the market at that time. Had no idea what was going on with all that crap.

I used to browse biz back in 2014-2015, mostly just posting in entrepreneur/small business and literature threads. 2015 I got distracted by pol and the election, and I didn’t come back to biz until late 2017. Didn’t buy my first crypto until April of last year

I wonder which coin/token will be the next

>"Anon, why didn't you buy X in 2019?"

I know the general sentiment here is that it'll be Chainlink, but Chainlink is the most shilled token on this board. Everyone thought ETH was a scam back then, just like everyone though BTC was a scam back in 2011. Chainlink is the opposite of that right now. If you made a post saying "buy ETH or stay poor" in 2015 you'd either get 0 replies or you'd get shit on. If you make a post saying "buy LINK or stay poor" in 2019 you'll get 50 posts minimum about moonboys, doubles, memes, and pure autism. It just seems too obvious.

From a fundamentals standpoint ICX is where my bet is, but something about how it's been accepted is underwhelming and the price movement I feel is always a little strange.
Like leddit ripple has 200k subs, stellar 100k, nano 45k, neo 97k. and fucking icx only has 23k.
All those partnerships and government partners, all that great tech, all those real use cases coming, and relatively no one is paying attention. Why is that?

Then you have Pantera Capital saying it's their biggest holding, and the price just dumps non-stop. A lot is from following BTC price but how much is manipulation? Is this what these fagfunds do? Do they just profit off the volatility by eating any upward momentum?

if coinbase had their shit together, i would be alot better of, had canceled transactions everyday for months, two times a 500$ purchase went through. this was late 2016, when my limit was raised and buys went throug the mooning was on and i got scared buying to much at "high" prices. in 2014 i heard about eth on biz, thought it was genius but was broke as fuck and it all seemed way more sketchy back then. (PND-panda coin) and its fast sync tech was the focus of biz at the time. but doing allrighty .

Because I was impateint and constantly chasing shitcoin pumps. I knew ethereum had solid tech but things like dash, monero, digibyte were all pumping around me and I had to chase those profits. I turned around and looked back and ethereum was $40. I remember thinking “$40??? You coulda bought this shit at $9 just a week ago, I ain’t buying this over priced shitcoin!” Then I blinked and it was over $1000 each. Oops.

Got some free doges from /b/ back in 2013, one dude literally sent me 1 million of them. Spent most of them in a doge casino kek, the rest I traded for other shitcoins, for an ATH of almost 2BTC in 2017.

I've been in the game since the start literally and yet I have nothing to show for it, current portfolio value = 0.8BTC

Definitely not the usually shilled shitcoin on /biz/.

I'm looking for something new, a new concept, a new kind of blockchain, like ETH was completely different from Bitcoin or XMR had some exclusive features.

I'm not a fan of Mimble Wimble coins, but MAYBE they could be the next big thing.

I'm not saying you cannot make profits with ERC 20 shitcoins or scams like the TRX blockchain coins, but maybe you should find something new and exclusive if you want the new BTC/ETH/XMR

Mimble Wimble is actually a pretty interesting concept, so far I have not heard of any other shitcoin that does similar stuff. Or maybe there is, but im too much of a brainlet.

I read the entire whitepaper when ETH was being shilled like crazy here in late July 2015. Every second thread was about ETH. I was actually quite captivated by the idea and really buying in until I reached the last page and how they financed the project by a token sale. I immediately called the whole thing a scam and forgot about it until May 2017 when it was 200.

As an epilogue to this story, I lost 30,000 euro last year investing in ICOs because I so regretted being cynical about ETH, unfortunately I wasn't cynical enough about some of these ICOs that were genuine scams.

I knew about Bitcoin very early. I thought it was really cool, but I didn't really think of it as an investment. Could have been set for life if I invested back then (as in 8 figures). I was very young (15) so I don't really blame myself. I'm pretty wealthy today, but not because of crypto. It's a waste of time to cry about what could have been.
