deep well Edition

Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Good that you made a nice profit on GALT
It's been slowly dwindling down all March, but keep in mind it could easily run again whenever we finally get a new catalyst out of it (BO/partnership, finalized phase 3 NASH cirrhosis trial design, expansion of Keytruda combo trial)
Been sitting around and waiting for a while, but I'm confident it'll pay off eventually

I messed up on my VSTM trade by not following my own advice and getting spooked by AH price action after their earnings release
A bit embarrassing in retrospect, but it's a learning experience

I really like VTGN's pipeline long term, and these coming catalysts (ELEVATE, NIMH) are important chances for them to prove themselves on their main drug candidate

If you are in the UK, which I assumed you were because you're worried about Brexit, then getting US treasury bonds will get you money back in dollars, which could insulate your investment from the British pound loosing value.

As for other investments, I'd recommend dollar general 100% and SDS if you're feeling particularly bearish, us govt mutual funds or ETFs.

GreenDot handles Apple Pay, and should benefit from the new Apple card. It’s expected they’ll handle all the cash back rewards. Apple is good at getting their base to do things they otherwise wouldn’t care about, I think the card will catch on and GDOT has room to run.

bros, we're nearing the end of a bull run. the only question is when this recession will hit (0-24 months) and whether this recession will be 4-8 months, 8-12 months or 12-18 months.

my retarded guess? recession in 12 months and it will last 9 months and then back to golden bull based off the influx of new companies and technology increases with large help from 5G technology

the average recessionary period since 2001 was approximately 10 months. I don't figure we'll have another great recession due to the fact that the recession won't be based on an economic collapse of the banks (as far as I know).

The negative divergence on the PPO and RSI are playing out. The last time we had both negative divergences in play was in the lead up to October. The yellow line is the logarithmic support for the market lows since March 2009 (bottom). The neon green lines are price patterns - currently we are seeing a breakdown of the rising bearish wedge. If we undercut December lows, we will have confirmation of a very nasty head and shoulders pattern that could take us to the 2015/16 sideways market highs

Buy TVIX for maximum gains in you believe this case.

Here is one so you can all see how dangerously compressed the VIX is. It tried to break out twice and this could be the time it does: bullish divergences playing it plus there is a gap it wants to fill, as price typically does.
