VTI and VOO are so closely correlated and so similar that nobody knows which will be superior, if you dont want to pick then just go half and half, the only effect there is you will have half the exposure to small caps as VTI gives by itself, since VOO has none

returns are effectively the same, just by investing in either one you are making it, good luck
