It doesn't matter whether it's a psy op or not, it's how crypto works. This post shows movements on micro level here on /biz/, but it can be adopted to macro level too. Just like overly positive sentiment is a sell-signal and negative sentiment a buy-signal. All part of the same game. As I said in the OP, last phase is bagholder cope phase. We have an excellent example here.

If you want actual gains, you sell the top and move on to something else. Which, btw, all of the initial chx/qnt/lto shillers (you can find their wallets) also did. This is what the OP is about- buy and sell at the right moment for maximum gains.
