My company is unionizing. They sent it emails to everyone asking them to join.

Had a questionnaire asking all kinds of vague political questions

>Do you believe this company would benefit from more inclusive hiring policies
>Do you believe that this company should have better policies to reduce discrimination against women
>Would you be willing to not go to work to protest for better rights for your fellow workers
>Do you support the president and his policies

Apparently this is legal because it's being done by someone that isn't union or the business itself.

This is just an easy ass factory job. I don't want to have to take the day off to protest more Stacies and niggers or because they ordered the wrong coffee in the break room.

Your gonna get laid off. Im part of a union and heard stories of guys in other businesses trying to do what we did and got fucked . Also your president is gonna steal money . Unions these days are a joke they don't protect the individual worker but protect the more senior workers who have been there for 20 years.

Unions are such a fucking joke. They didn't get the memo that all the problems they were made to fight against got solved 80 years ago. For my first shitty job at a grocery store I had to pay $40 a fucking month on minimum wage just for the privilege of being able to work there.
Fuck unions.

My wife worked for Kaiser and their union reps wouldn't lift a fucking finger for her or anybody that actually worked there. I was dying on dialysis waiting for a transplant and they would try to fuck with her on FMLA time and pretend like they were going to fire her. Unions are like paying for your own Governent Agency at work: They suck, they don't work, they cost too much for nothing, they make everything more complicated and thrive on red tape.

Op here

I don't even understand the need for a union here. 90% of employees here already don't do jack shit all day long. I probably work a good 5 hours in a 40 hour week.

No one is stopping women from working in the factory, they just don't apply.

Unions are unnecessary if employers treat the employees fairly and management doesn't bleed the company dry by paying themselves massive salaries and bonuses. There's not many companies that fit the description above, though.

With unions, you trade one set of managers (corporate) for another set of managers (union). The union managers can end up being corrupt, too, but at least they're supposed to be looking out for the interests of the workers and they can be removed by the workers unlike the corporate managers.
