Why are comments disabled in this video? Why aren't people allowed to have a focused discussion regarding the lecture topic?

of course it's possible, the question is is it financially feasible?

Shut it down. Their power could grow exponentially. Tame the web at all cost

A proof of work token based YouTube will be far more financially feasible than an ad based one. The ad based on is just running off federal reserve funny money

I've been saying that for years.

You definitely could make one where the users would have to host their own videos. Problem is then they would have to have powerful enough computers to let all their views stream their videos.

There is a decentralised YouTube (and more).

How would a completely (and I mean completely) decentralized video hosting platform work? Wouldn't that be extremely dangerous?
Would it be like a living, breathing monstrosity of video content completely unregulated and uncontrollable? Cat videos, revenge porn, gore, sensitive information, bullying, and full-length movies all lumped together in the same spot? Would all the kind of stuff that Google and Facebook meticulously weed out of their servers be permanently pasted on an eternal hosting blockchain that is untouchable by world governments, the DMCA, and content creators?

Is this the future of digital content where everything belongs to everyone and NO ONE can do anything about it except destroy every computer on the planet?

For your own good: never open up a company or try to have kids.

Won't blockchain-based vpns render all of that null?
Aren't magnet hosting sites like tpb centralized and raided all the time?

Dtube Bitchute for what a decentralized youtube could be like. BAT/Brave for payment alternative payment method. Disenter plugin for alternative comment section. All of these still are partly centralized systems but they could still provide a template for a true decentralized internet.

Dissenter can still be taken down by domain names. Once something like moves on to blockchain it'll be very hard to censor.

You could use MetaLens to comment on any webpage and they are stored forever on the bitcoin blockchain (BSV).

unfortunately i think it's only available for the cancer browser right now (chrome)
