I'm not sure how MA family law works, but if you're at all interested in being a father then just work on being a good dad and the rest will follow. Courts definitely pay attention to the parent's that are being reasonable and trying to do what's in the best interests of the child. Try and work your way up to 50/50 custody (so you don't have to pay support for the most part); and in the meantime if she fucks with you in opposite of the court ordered residential schedule then you can file some contempt actions to fuck with her back.
