Unironically the best way to ride along on the singularity is sp500 index funds. You guys really think the corps won't be sucking up the vast majority of wealthy created by AIs? Don't get me wrong I've got some crypto too, but if you're betting on the singularity happening the best way to make sure you get a piece of the wealth it's going to create is just getting an index fund and holding up to and through the singularity.

From their website:
>Note: While we are aware that the AGI token is currently being traded on some exchanges, we do not encourage or facilitate this exchange trading in any manner. Speculative secondary trading is against the spirit of the AGI token and SingularityNET project. We strongly discourage speculative secondary trading and officially ask AGI token holders to act accordingly.

i've studied philosophy of AI in my undergrad, and I have been taking several ML courses. "intelligent" behaviour is too contextualized for it to be able to be represented properly in a series of compartmentalized function calls. (that's what SingularityNet aims to be, an open market where separate "intelligent functions" that makes bids) that is the TLDR version of why it won't actually "be" the event triggering singularity (aka it moons) but in a more practical sense it might also prevent actual programmers from using it

>> No.13015141

also there is no way anyone can implement anything like that. more evidence its a load of BS

>> No.13015194

>>13015141
They don't actually say that in the whitepaper. they actually don't give any real reason as to why they were testing racism, they just say that doing so is "essential, as it is difficult to foresee what sorts of dynamics will arise in a mature SingularityNET that is coupled with a rich variety of external human and computational systems.
So 50/50 they either want to prepare for making sure AI Hitler doesn't arise, or they want to make sure it's possible before they go through all the effort of creating him.

The way you parroted the i'm sure tiny amount of text book undergraduate knowledge I almost believed you were a intelligent knowledgable person. Power of A.I.

>> No.13015507

>>13015223
Do you even know what the promises of A.I. imply about the state of research of modern machine learning? Do you even know the type of research Ben conducts? Are you even aware that all of the interviews Sophia the robot conducts are (obviously) scripted? Do you even know how modern machine learning works and why we are given no promises of AI by anyone who knows their shit (aka does actual math of ML)? Are you aware that researchers have basically given up on level 5 (100% capable) autonomous driving because they deem it impossible? Are you aware that Ben's master plan is to stick this network into Sophia and call it an AGI? Do you actually think a set of disembodied functions can do that? There is no such thing as "power of AI". Maybe "power of ML", but even that is a massive unknown. Also a tout myself as undergrad level because i know the massive state of research that exists above me, of which i'm sure you know of better than I do cryptobro?

>>13015194
shit like this is why i will keep fudding AGI every chance I get. they have absolutely no idea what they are doing expect their promised end vision. they keep touting that they will have these so and so features and what not while its painfully obvious that they can't keep throwing the "AGI will solve it eventually" (or in this case, the open market of intelligent functions, LOL). I mean look at OpenCog, Ben's previous (serious) attempt at AGI. you have a massive documentation (2 Springer textbooks iirc) and a massive codebase that sprawls 10 years. and what does opencog do in terms of everyday i can buy milk i can walk on two legs cognition? nothing that I know of. obviously AGI research is hard and i have nothing against the man Ben, but if you are putting money into this not because of some pump but because you think the singularity comes from this then i have some bad news for you.

make up? do research and see if anything i say is incorrect? i admit my fudding is based on gut rather than logic, but for me its pretty obvious at this stage that the project isn't long term sustainable. unless they announce some partnership that gives them 10-20 years of funding then don't expect this to achieve its goals in any significant way (or its cryptocurrency to hold any value, if that is your concern)
