I've got about 30k on motorcycles and I have to say if you aren't coordinated/athletic/smart enough to understand how easy you can die you probably shouldn't get a motorcycle. I've never dopped it or been in a crash, but I can't count the number of times I've had to dodge an idiot pulling out in front of me or the countless fuckers that swerve back and forth with no blinkers.

Planned obsolescence really took hold in just the last 15 years. I literally paid off my Hyundai Elantra and then a week later , at 103k miles; the engine went out.

Could have leased for less, and been in the same boat.

Like the weather, If you live in arizona riding a bike is perfect but in states up north or even south east like texas where it is mixed weather or humid rainy a lot it can be unpractical. I used to have a fully speced out 2008 is350 fsport with every fsport performance option available (full exhaust kit, suspension kit, brake kit ect). It was literally one of a kind since fsports came out in 2009. Apparently it was owned by an owner of a Lexus dealership, and he got a first edition and clicked on every single f sport factory performance option when in production. Went from 35k base price to 60k with the performance options. Picked it up off eBay in Florida for 17k, complete steal. It was absolutely gorgeous and in showroom condition. Very fast for a v6, being fully speced out it was almost as fast as an F.

Here is the sad part. Some old bitch t boned me going through a light and it was totaled. Insurance gave me 21k for it which I used to purchase an F. Was a nightmare back and forth determining a fair market value for it since it was so rare and had factoty performance options instead of aftermarket. Insurance agents are dumb as fuck.
