There are still plenty of things you can't find in them, and a lot of the time they sell off-brand garbage products, so you're better off going to something like Sainsbury's or Asda (known as Walmart in the US).

Aldi's is good for viggies and fruit, the meat is hit or miss. Weekly specials and everyday planogram keeps it simple. I don't buy anything else, maybe bread and cheese 16oz fake Serrano style type.

I live in UK and generally the best quality/cost ratio store is the Tesco and Sainsbury's. Aldi is extremely useful for some things to buy in bulk, but their beef, especially mince, tends to taste like absolute shit. They even sell the same alcohol cheaper, I've noticed that beers that go for 1.50-2 are around 1.20-1.50 there, although they have almost non-existent selection. Ideally I shop at Tesco.
