GenXer here. Welcome to adulthood, welcome to being a man. You are in this alone. We are all in this alone. Even the people you think are happy and have bustling social lives are alone. Now, are you going to be a defeatist and give up or are you going to strive for what you want?

Can confirm. On the outside I have it made. Wife, kids, house, high income, travelled the world, good health....on the inside it is a howling void of emptiness raging in a universe where literally nothing matters. I just go through the motions and wait for death.

if you have high income, you have no right to complain about anything. money can and does solve all/most problems. YOU just have no imagination

If you really hated yourself more money would just feed that hate.

I'd say one you have about 30k in savings, you'd be able to feel pretty good. That's about 2-3 years at minimum of cheap living without work if you wanted it, which makes actually working and experimenting so much easier and stress-free, knowing you have that backup.

At one stage I had 20k and I got that to last a good 10 years in combination with neetbux.

It's that "security buffer" that really makes the big difference, I believe.

The only thing that gives me hope is the huge mass of people that feel the exact same way. I know I put myself in my situation but this seems to be a much larger societal issue if so many people feel like their entire life became a meme.

I'm in Australia so I applied for Newstart allowance, and at times I went on 'sickness benefit' for depression by getting medical certificates from a doctor.

I was on it for about 10 years before poltards ruined everything by support Tony Abbott who introduced 'work for the dole' again. This is the same guy who was trying to push through maternity leave at FULL PAY for 2 years for women. Apparently poltards don't care if women get free jobs and free fucking everything but they'll do anything they can to mess things up for male NEETs.

You should play Night in the Woods. It looks on the surface like hipster-dipster cartoon animals walking simulator but it addresses the
