I know I would have either blown the money early on, or lost it on Gox and/or lost the keys to muh wallet etc and blamed it on fate or some stupid shit like that.

Instead i’ve been observing the space for 9 years, learning from others mistakes and successes whilst teaching myself to effectively trade forex markets in the meantime.

So aside from muh humble stacks of Link and some other interesting projects not withstanding, I don’t hodle crypto as Im making way more gains (1%-5% compound a day in a bear market) than I ever would have trying to hodle as an inexperienced brainlet 20year old hoping his bags will appreciate.

Bottom line: though theres lots of money still to be made for competent traders, and to the contrary of what BTC maximalists desperately insist, the future of distributed ledgers isn’t in muh “one coin to rule them all”, it’s in legacy institutions integrating smart contract and cloud computing protocols into their existent services. Which is why I’m still not all in BTC aside from swing trading it on occasion like the proper shit coin it is.

That's a good question. Unless you have otc buyers willing to give you cash, the best next bet are events like 2017 where whales can dump on normies. This is why I know another bullrun is inevitable, too many large bag holders. Us little fish might profit if we stick on the underside of the whale's belly and take whatever scraps we can.

I was big on bitcoin in 2010, then got disillusioned a year later. I don't regret buying more in 2011/2012 because I honestly don't think I would have survived the 2013 crash.

I mean imagine you have 1000 bitcoins, sure thats worth 20 million now, but would you have survived losing 1 million USD when it crashed from 1k to 200 dollars? Or if you'd lost them on mt gox? It makes much more sense imo to regret not buying ethereum for 30 cents, it went up much faster and you could have made a lot more money much more quickly. Plus exchanges were better by 2016.

I love these posts. Prime example for why fundamental analysis (in isolation) doesn't work. A true /biz/raeli knows that if the market is irrational, you ride it to the top, and when you sense that the market is finally realizing what you knew all along (peak 2017), you short it to the bottom.

May this be a reminder: fundamental analysis DOES NOT WORK FOR TRADING.
