How can I take advantage of the fact that I live in a developing South East Asian country? I've got money to invest and a local to help me navigate around but I don't know where to start. I know guys have been making mad $$ the last few years making shopify dropshitting Aliexpress stores. Is there something similar I can do, but even better, by utilizing cheap materials and labour? I also have a small photostudio set up with all the equipment necessary for product photography, and am starting to get a hang on Facebook ads. I'm kind of stupid, here's hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

I wonder how many times I will have to make this thread to get some /entg/-grounded responses that don't involve dicks or ladyboys.

I'll throw out some of my own ideas so you guys can critique, and hopefully someone can suggest something else.

One thing I've been thinking about is raw agricultural material processing. Herbs and shit can be bought for pennies here, even just at the markets without having to go directly to the grower. I was thinking of buying a dehydrator and processing some of these into dried form for export. I don't want to do huge wholesale kind of stuff so I was considering packaging and marketing it myself via a Shopify store and FB ads.

Easier than that would be to buy already pre-existing product in bulk, repackage and resell. I was thinking shit like essential oils which we have loads of here, but without even looking online I can guess that particular market is saturated as fuck. Anyone know where I can go to get a good idea of trending ecommerce products?

Another thing I was thinking of was those subscription box type of things. However, Thailand doesn't do a good job exporting culture besides trannies and tom yum. It's not nearly as easy as doing a Japan-themed box by living in Tokyo and just going around buying 100s of varieties of different snacks. What we do have is 100s of varieties of rice, massage/spa products, fried bugs and locally-grown tea/coffee.

I'm looking to do something that can scale really well. Teaching is easy to start (I'm white) but you can't break out of 1:1 ratio of time invested to money earned. Also I hate children.

Np. If you've got an entrepreneurial spirit, you could start a school or something though, actually teach good english classes, and build a brand that has some cred in the community. There's limited options in Thailand due to the laws restricting foreigners to certain occupations.
