Fuck linkers are deluded sometimes. There's a whole heap of really cool shit going on which will change the DECENTRALISED smart contract world forever but still you make these ridiculous assumptions about facekike using our oracles and dump when it doesn't happen.

Facebook WILL NOT give a shit about decentralisation as much as Ethereum does and Chainlink does, their vision is not as grand as ours.

They will literally just create their own world currency index and get it into their own contracts in a similar way that Maker has the price of Ethereum in their contracts for their DAI stablecoin. This way works very well for a single usecase, but it does not work well as a standard for getting data into contracts.

We are trying to be a standard, we are not trying to be a single use case.

Anyone who only needs a single use case for a massive project and they trust their own data sources can probably create a cheaper solution than it will be to use link. Anyone who wants data into their smart contract easily and either doesn't trust their own data source or doesn't want to trust their own data source can use chainlink.

Big data has limited worldwide market penetration and its getting smaller everyday as goberments ban services that use the free but give me all your data business model.
