What is preventing me from starting a towing company? I offer a towing service to the community by towing cars wrongly parked. They can get their car back by paying me money. Requirements: a (fee) parking lot out of the city, wheel lock for said parking lot if it's not your own ground and a towing car. Maybe some signs with your number saying your car gonna get towed and they need to call you or in a month your car is auctioned.

Is this legal? What issues could I face?

Well for one, you can just steal people's cars because they're parked in the wrong spot, that's a sort of vigilante justice situation that is in fact illegal. Most tow companies are repo companies, they tow shit from nigs who are several months behind on payments. I say nigs because those are generally the types of people you'll be dealing with on a daily basis, and they are not happy that youre taking their car

What if I bought a towing truck and just towed away some mercedes benz or a bmw and sold them. Unless the city is all under surveillance, nobody would know where the car is or who took it.
