>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

>How do you usually do DD? What do you usually look for?

It's mainly just two things:

1. check the financials for revenue, debt, and disposable cash the company has for expansion without needing to issue shares/dilute to raise the money. Check P/E and EPS, compare against sector peers.
2. Skim through the news to identify catalysts upcoming that may be either positive or negative. Check ex-dividend and earnings call dates to make sure you're not entering at a time when either of those could screw you.

I honestly think that ETF's are shit. Find a healthy company that you don't mind owning for the next 50 years. ETF's do not have your best interest in mind. Less so than individual companies at least.

I don't know the specifics in this case (literally too lazy to google) but usually what differs between similar ETFs is how they allocate the fund. For example, some may allocate shares in companies within the market based on market-cap ranking of each company (ie. proportionate representation), some may put a cap on the max (say 1% max, so even if a company represented 50% of the market it would only be 1% of your portfolio) for better diversification.

I would like to diversify a bit and get into property investing, but "real" property investing takes a LOT of money to get into unless you wanna become a slumlord or some useless shit.

Short Question: If I email the board of directors can I get a guy fired

Long Story: I work for a contracting company that is frequently contracted by Energy Transfer to build amine treating plants. In the facility other than us there is another contractor who was contracted to put in a compressor BEFORE we got contracted to build an entire plant.
Skip to yesterday and we are about a month away from finishing the amine plant and our Superintendent gets removed from the jobsite over some small shit because the head inspector said so. Now this entire job the Energy transfer employees on this plant have been trying to delay our work and fuck us over, petty shit.
Pretty much all of the ETC employees at this plant just want this shit to go as long as possible, ok still nothing too out of ordinary.

Then we find out that the other contractor on the other side of the plant is owned by someone who is blood related to the head inspector. The theory is that we were doing our work too fast, and if we finished an entire plant before the compressor was installed it would look bad, on the other contractor and the Energy Transfer employees running the facility.

So if I were to send a detailed email to the board of directors could I get them to start an investigation of the employees at this facility. The top dogs at Energy Transfer want this plant running ASAP, however those at the middle level are wasting time and money of the investors because of mid level corruption

Can someone explain options alittle better for me

So the price is at 4 currently.

So im looking up calls for March
A 3 dollar Call is 2.75
(Break even 4.50)
A 5 dollar call is 1 dollar
(Break even 5.50)
A 10 dollar call is 15 cents
(Break even 10.15)

What does this break even number mean?
And does buying 100 calls for 15 cents mean if im right in my prediction i get to sell the stocks at their full price?
And do i have to sell before the call date?

Fortnites got a different appeal than Fortnite.
Fortnite got one of those weird popularity that "niche" games don't deserve. Trying to cash in on it should be very hard and EA has various other problems on its cash rather than this q big success.
It good be good growth it might not. Just giving you my opinion and I wouldn't bother with ea with all its various other problems. They've been voted 2 years in a row as the worse company in the US.

Someone help the bloke
>What does this break even number mean?
I honestly dont. But I think because of commission fees or whatever you'd have to seek the stock at 4.50, 5.50 or 10.15 to break even. Then anything over that is your profit. I'm guessing though cause I don't know what trading site or app your using
>And does buying 100 calls for 15 cents mean if im right in my prediction i get to sell the stocks at their full price?
It sounds weird the way your saying that but you should always be able to sell full. Any money lost from the total stock price or whatever is due to whatever trading platform your using. They all have different fees and commission.
You don't seem all to clued up but I've been learning bits and bits band lurking for a few months and the more I learn the more I realize I don't know enough to sling trades. Don't fuck around if you don't know what your doing cause you'll lose all your money like a mook.
What I suggest is trying to learn more about the market(and there is quite honestly quite alot to learn). Then try your hand at trading but if you wanna jump in and start an investment you should read up on vanguard index stocks. Pick one or two of their products and put money in there. They're pretty good performers and you don't have to worry just let your money grow and you get dividends.
In that time learn about trading properly please before you fuck yourself upand decide tradings not for you. Trading is for everyone. You just need to learn and understand. Also admit your flaws so you can steel yourself from making emotional decisions. Blah blah just learn more.
>And do i have to sell before the call date?
For Americans yes. not sure what Europe is doing now though. But you can sell your calls at any time you want. But once excercise date is reached your option is execute and sold at the price you bought it for.

Quick and dirty answer:

You're buying the right to purchase 100 shares at whatever price you bought the option for. Break even is how much higher/lower the share price needs to go before you can sell your entire stack of 100 for a profit (In the case of a call, by executing the call, buying the 100 shares and then immediately selling them for a profit.) Keep in mind the price of the option is factored into this.

Try to actually do some research before jumping into option trading. It's very very easy to lose all of your money if you have no idea what you're doing and for the love of god don't fuck around with puts.

Coke is fucked. Their product line is vastly inferior to Dr. Peppers in every category, especially with millennials. Not to mention you get Keurig as a bonus and management is phenomenal. They have no future and are pretty much flat for the past decade. Dr. Pepper also has the vision to make another major acquisition when they finish paying off the debt from Keurig, I'm talking red bull or monster.

Meanwhile KDP is up about 300% and probably paid out more in dividends with the buyout.

Enjoy losing your money on a shit boomer business when a company that is superior in every way is trading at like 7x less of a market cap.

people have been trying to say that for the last 30 years. you're delusional if you think one of the best run companies of the last century is "fucked" because they beat earnings but indicated slower organic growth in 2019 mostly due to the strong dollar.

I get KDP has been doing well recently. it's not going to overtake KO as the worlds largest beverage company.

KDP has decent products but pales in comparison to KO. Also, KO has the best distribution pipeline in the world. KO just got into the coffee game and and has made numerous acquisitions in 2018 that will start to pay off in 2020 or 2021.

I'll look to investing into KDP if it can prove its potential and dividend increases I'll look into it.

I have no idea what it would take to acquire red bull but monster has a mcap of around 35 billion. Monster is eating into a lot of red bulls market cap lately and if it continues they might be more willing to deal. I think red bull synergizes extremely well with Dr Peppers lineup, marketing, and management style and it would be a great match.

Even if it doesn't happen Dr Pepper is clearly the long term hold here. It's looking like it might end the day green on the worst day for Coke in over a decade.

I don't know about dividend increases. It still pays a decent dividend and are in a growth stage. I trust management to apply the money better than I can.
